The food and atmosphere were wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and catering. Hugh servings. We had two plates that include... the main entree, two sids, soup or salad and a roll - we added two beers and it was only $40!!! for all that. So much that wehad to have 2-go plates. Great restaurant and market. We have come here for as long as I remember and the food selection has always been exceptional. Great place for great food and shopping! They have an extensive meat selection, as well as lots of German groceries and even... some Indonesian. They even carry fresh Fleischsalat in the fridge! Prices are very fair considering import fees, etc. They alsohave excellent sausage selection. We ate first, then shopped. When you walk through the shop toward the back you can order foodat the counter and then bring it to your table (menu is online if you want to look ahead of time). I got the Rouladen - comeswith 2 sides, plus soup or salad and dinner roll. Big portion and absolutely delicious. I got mine with German potato salad andhalf-and-half Sauerkraut/Red Cabbage. Plenty of food, so come hungry! Salad is fresh & crunchy. Soups change daily. When we werethere they had Oxtail and Potato soup. You can taste they are homemade - both excellent. Food was good but there is quite a long wait to order food and receive it (went during lunch). Overall took about an hour (in... line and waiting) so if you are hungry I'd suggest adding on a soup and/or salad as these are served earlier while you wait foryour other food. Nice market and restaurant. Go early and expect to get in line. Delicious food and very, very reasonable price. Our Czech... guest was extremely impressed and satisfied with his dinner!
