Chalk up another home-run restaurant selection for Carlsbad, NM! First there was El Jimador - which is always awesome. Then... comes Borracho Tacos, which is equally awesome, with a quaint, unique & really neat dining room layout (it has the layout of anold house with lots of rooms - almost like a maze) coupled with super-friendly service (the ex-principal doll who works onWED/THUR is absolutely the nicest, hardest-working person you'll meet all day...). Throw in the unique, freshly made food andthe great prices, and that completes this excellent experience. This place is such a treat and well worth the time and effortto go there and get-away from the otherwise blase choices Carlsbad has to offer (again, El jimador excluded). Read more
I had the steak burrito and it was big and delicious. My fiance had taco plate, he said his was good. Like the decor.
We have tried many of the restaurants in the Carlsbad/artesia/roswell area this is one we will return to! The food, the... atmosphere, the service, all were great! The separate rooms differently decorated really added an intimate feel. Thank you guys! Read more
We have had very good Mexican food, and very bad Mexican food. This was above and beyond. Very good. We ordered the chili... replenish and flutes. They even delivered to the KOA 18 miles out of town. Fantastic food and flavor! Read more
The portions are too small, I liked the food but literally it is not enough for the cost of some tacos, there it says that it... will be an order of 4 but in the chicken tacos there are three and in the steak there are 2 :/ Read more
1st time eating here after this pandemic started. They have expanded their location to add more indoor seating. It adds a... great feel to the place with separate rooms for dinning and makes it kind of cozy. Of course there is also outside seating togive it that eating in elements feel. Now to the food. Still as good as I remember. I got the steak tacos this time around and they are excellent. Especially when you put the green chilie sauce on the with lime juice. The menu is not over bloatedwith to many selections. They stick with traditional Mexican cuisine and they do it very well. Definitely will be back to eathere. Read more
