I had been to this restaurant before pandemic. The food, service everything was super nice. From my recent visit i felt things... have changed. Staff was not very courteous to us. Except for the fried oysters the dishes were just ok. This place is located atan amazing spot in Carmel. Read more

Prawn Cocktail is a deconstructed setup - wouldn’t recommend especially since it’s just 5. Great Lobster BLT, REALLY GOOD... Lobster Bisque and good Fish and Chips. They open and close whenever they want. There’s literally people eating and then they say they’re closed and will reopen in... 30 mins. The food wasn’t as fresh as I had hoped. Our scallops were sandy and not seared properly which was gross. Waiterrecommended my dish but my goodness never again. The sauce on my pasta was nasty. A mix of Alfredo and pesto with some sournotes of who knows what. When I brought it up to my waiter he stated that’s what it’s supposed to taste like. Disappointed. My wife and I didn't have a great experience here. The food was just ok, but I expected better quality and portion... sizes for the price. We started off with an appetizer, fried calamari. It came with cocktail and tartar sauce. Pretty smallportion. We also ordered a cup of soup each: I ordered the clam chowder and my wife ordered the lobster bisque. My chowder camebut was literally cold in the middle. I had to send it back and they didn't give me a fresh cup but just reheated it. The reasonI know they just reheated it was because it still had the oyster crackers that I had added. They never brought my wife's bisque. For our entrees, my wife ordered the crusted halibut and I ordered fish and chips. Again, decent food but smaller portions forthe price. Our waitress was very inattentive. Service was poor. I had to flag her down to tell her about my chowder and ask fora refill of my wine. Otherwise, she didn't visit our table after we ordered. With all the fabulous places to eat in Carmel, wewould not recommend Flaherty's. Read more
