Great enchiladas for a reasonable price. Great fish tacos, too. Nice service.
Ordered a chicken rice bowl. Portion is generous but also a bit pricer compared to a "burrito bowl" you can get at another... location. I called my lunch order in a head of time and was a bit surprised when I was told it would be ready in 5 minutes.While the rice, beans, and chicken were all warm, I could assume that the chicken was already precooked, versus grilled freshbased on the short prep time. It was also a bit dry. Overall flavor of everything was okay. They have a chilled salsa bar withprepacked cups of a few different types of salsas you can take. These do help add a bit more flavor. The location is small withlimited seating indoors and outside. Parking around the Crossroads shopping area can be difficult as well during peak lunchtime. For many of us workers in Carmel with a short lunch break, there isn't very many inexpensive quick bite options in theimmediate area so while I could say, I've had better elsewhere this spot isn't all that bad and do like having it here as anoption. Fajita burrito was very tasty. All the food in this plaza is very expensive though.
The food was delicious and the service was really friendly a good place for a perfect dinner.

Yeah I have to say this place was really a bust. Ordered three street tacos for $9.99. Got my food, and it wasn't even Luke... warm...mind you I was in the parking lot, and it was only 11 am when I ordered it, so it should've been nice and hot. Aside fromfrigid food, I've never had a single shell street taco so they were pretty flimsy. Dry meat with, absolutely no flavorwhatsoever. I do not recommend. Read more
OK at best. Service was great and friendly, but the food unfortunately didn't match up. Huge portions at a decent price, but the... flavors were pretty bland. I got a Mahi taco and a chicken taco - Mahi was good, but a little too many toppings mask the fish...Chicken tasted like it was seasoned with Ortega taco seasining. $2.50 for guac on your food is a bit excessive, too.Unfortunately won't be coming back here. I was reading the lower reviews on Island Taco and it became evident to me that this restaurant has made a lot of improvements... over the years. My family and I all got different dishes and all of them were fresh and delicious. Island Taco does not deserveany of these bad ratings and it?s nice to see a restaurant develop and make improvements. The service was excellent and theemployees were very friendly. Island taco is truly a hidden gem and I would love visiting again. I highly recommend trying thisrestaurant as it is truly a delightful experience. Read more
