I’m going to write this review because I care about this place as an institution because among my circles here in town,... that’s how it’s regarded. First, the actual restaurant floor. Too loud, the music is too loud and steals away from theexperience. I’m at a restaurant not a disco, please make that experience come to life. The food was decent but it was notspecial, specially considering the price. Our medium well done ribeye was well done. Unacceptable to be honest. The wine listis extensive and I appreciate that. However, for the price and prestige that this place holds an updated list is the bareminimum. If a bottle isn’t available, print a new menu for the night. Overall, disappointing. This was a place I had lookedforward to and it failed. There are better options in Carmel and in Monterey. I won’t list places out of respect for the staffand the owners but as a customer you’ll find them. For $500, I expected more — a lot more. Read more

The dry age ribeye was excellent although they claim it's 30 oz And should have been around 22 oz after cooked I seriously... doubt it was that weight. The twice big potato was excellent. The facacia bread was excellent. The endive salad was excellentalso. The cremebrulee was good but does not compare to Rivers end by Jenner see my review. Now let's discuss pricing look atthe Received $20 for a potato let's get real. 135 for a steak ouch. This is obviously for the rich and famous or a one time dealon a special occasion. Read more

I mean this is a great restaurant and the food is very well presented. I really love the atmosphere and the service is great.... The food though, are all a bit too salty. Especially with no bread it was a bit too flavourful for me - the onion soup, the lampand the duck, all a bit too salty. Read more

This was our last night in Carmel and our daughter recommended Seventh and Dolores (a Michelin Rated Restaurant). All I can say... is WOW! We sat outside and it was perfect because they have heaters. Fantastic service, food, atmosphere, bartender, etc. Seepictures as it is hard to explain. Read more

Top notch Filet Mignon! Probably the best we ever had and we've eaten at the best restaurants in most cities. The food here is... great quality. We ordered a filet mignon, bone-in ribeye, brussel sprouts, wine, and an apple cinnamon bread pudding. Let's getstraight to the point, the filet mignon is much better than the ribeye, so if you love a nice steak and don't require the fat ofthe ribeye then go with the filet. Extremely nice char! Also, the steaks are seasoned very nice with salt and pepper and comewith a choice of 6 different sauces. We sat inside and outdoor is available. It was very cold inside! Not sure why they don'twant the customers more comfortable. Heat lamps are used for the outdoor seating. Service was slightly less attentive thanexpected at a place with the price point as this and with a mandatory 20% tip included on the bill. The wait staff shouldprobably receive a little education on the restaurant's cooking styles and steak doneness levels. The bathroom was clean and hadvery nice hand towels. Overall a good experience except for the cold building. Read more

The lamb chops and bone in ribeye steaks are very good. Very tender and flavorful. I give them five star just for that. The... onion soup is in a bitters side, and the crab cake I didn’t care for it. Read more

Great service and amazing food - every dish was uniformly of high quality! Loved the steaks! Especially love how... gluten-friendly the menu is with clear descriptions of the dishes. Read more
