I've been here so many times hoping for a better outcome and at last am writing a review to say: set your expectations low. If... you're a dog owner, it's true that Terry's is very dog-friendly, but that can be said of 30 or 40 restaurants in Carmel. Thedinner menu is overpriced. The food is average. The best thing, actually, is to sit on the patio and ask for the bar menu. The bar menu offers decent pub grub at reasonable prices. Service can range from highly attentive one night to downrightindifferent the next. Frustrating. But it IS Terry's in Carmel, and it WAS owned by Doris Day, and there ARE lots of movieposters and Hollywood memorabilia, and if it's your first time here you can soak all that in and have a good time, but don't besurprised if your dining experience is both expensive and lackluster. Wish I could rate this place zero star. We walked in and waited patiently for 5 minutes, asked politely and the waiter did not... even bother to acknowledge us. Matter of fact, he looked at us in the eyes multiple times and did not say anything, as if he wasbothered by our existence. Read more
A lovely historic inn and restaurant. Excellent service. Excellent food. Everything was fresh and delicious with a nice... presentation. Fun to look at all the Doris Day memorabilia. Her music also.played in the background. You could sit outside inthe patio or inside. Both were nice. Read more
We love this place. It's set in the Cypress Inn which Doris Day was half owner. Terr's Lounge is named after Doris' son. The... atmosphere is fun with all kinds of movie memorabilia and Doris Day movies playing on the TV screens. It is very dog friendly????. The food is tasty and the service is great. We like to bring guests visiting from out of town for the food and experience. Read more
We visited carmel for a couple of nights, we had dinner here one of the nights. The outdoor set up is really nice and they have... adjusted well to the covid situation. The food was pretty good and it came out so very quick. Also, the neighborhood is a funplace to walk around or window shop. Would definitely recommend this place for a meal. Read more
This place was so fun and so special. We started on the outdoor patio, which had lots of warm heaters! But it started to rain... and they kindly accommodated reseating us inside (really appreciated it!!). We had the artichoke appetizer and we both got theburger - both of which were really good. The service was good and we really enjoyed our dinner! On top of that, there was livemusic - piano and a singer! It was so beautiful! Such a treat, we will be back! Read more
Went here with a friend on a Friday night. I got the table right away The decor is beautiful, cozy and lots of pets walk around,... really cute. The food was nice. If you want the all day bar food, you have to request it, the wings were really good. Calamarineeded more flavor. Brussel sprouts on a stick was a bit unnecessary, but good. I love the Sakura cocktail. Overall a greatplace to hang with people (and pets) Would recommend anyone to come! Read more
