Our server was amazing...if it was just based on her I would give it 5 stars! The guacamole was very good! It took quite a... while to get our food...then when the kids burgers came even though I ordered them plain the came with Mayo. I asked them toremake them as my kids are allergic. They came back and had changed the buns but the Mayo was still on the burger...reallydisappointing. My steak tacos I asked for corn shells or knowing all the corn shells they have are hard shells. Service was great on a fairly busy Sunday evening. We sat outside and had a very pleasant dinner after getting back in town... tired from a road trop. The chips and queso really hit the spot to start off, and the bell peppers in the fajitas were the bestI?ve had (charred but still a little crisp and very flavorful, not all mushy). Waitress was friendly and attentive. Note aboutsome of the bad reviews: Carmel has a bit of a snobby rep. English isn?t everyone?s first language and it takes a lot of work tolearn a second language. If you?re polite and keep it simple, I think you?ll find the service is just fine. If you don?t, well,maybe you brought the problem with you. Read more

Worst service I?ve received in years. We waited an hour and a half for our food. When it got to the table, half of our food was... cold. We didn?t receive drinks or appetizers for an hour. When the food was correct, it was great. The service was our mainissue. They are very understaffed and unprepared for more than 2-3 customers. Read more
Really overall was good. I just thought our waitress could have checked in a little more, but she seemed to be only one there,... this afternoon, she did get us seated, drinks and chips, & orders taken promptly. Salsa was best I've ever had at a Mexicanrestaurant. Food was amazing! Would definitely go back! Really nice outside seating. We chose to eat in, nice and cleaninside. Weather permitting, there?s outdoor dining to enjoy your food along the sidewalk and enjoy the scenes of Carmels ArtDistrict. Once inside, the quaint space is decorated by wall art by students from the local high school which adds a nicetouch. The bar is fully stocked with your favorite tequilas, bourbons, cognacs and vodkas AND they?re not stingy with thealcohol on the drinks! When it came to the food I enjoyed the sopes, tacos and chips & salsa. I was asked if I liked my salsahot and it was so bold and flavorful. The owner Cindy, even was helping her staff prepare food and drinks which shows greatleadership from the top. First time here, went with our daughter that lives down the street and she's been several times. Service was very good, food was... delicious, everybody enjoyed their entrees and drinks. I ordered Chicken Asado and after they brought it they asked if I wantedtortillas, which was great. Outside seating with umbrellas worked great. Will definitely return! Read more
Not sure what?s going on here, but I used to go there to get lunch with my coworkers. Last time we paid $85 for Tacos and a... flan. We look the prices on the the menu and they didn?t match with the bill we paid. Again, one of us went today and they overcharged that bill as well. This place is not like Verde or anything fancy. Not sure how such a small amount of food can be $85like that?s a slap on the face. Read more
