Man that pound burger was crazy! ???? It was a lot of fun for sure. I kept looking at the pictures on the wall and thinking: how... can someone eat 2 or 3 of these burgers. Couldn’t have a 5?? experience because they didn’t have paper to print my 4x6picture and hang it on the wall. Advice if you are trying the challenge is to get sweet tea or any other sweet drink because ifthe burger is 1 pound, then they add like another pound of salt to it ????. Read more

Had the not so ugly burger. It was good and well seasoned. The Buns are good and they are soft. Sides are all separate. Fries... are good. They do have a challenge but the burger is $26. If you eat it you get your picture on the wall. If you want a copy ofthe picture it's a dollar. I would go again. But it is very pricey! Parking is terrible. There are no vegetarian options. Yum. Good stuff. You may want to check out the portion sizes on the way in. Examples are in the cooler as you walk in. If you... are brave, you can go with the Big Ugly. Food: the Big Ugly Elk burger I had was pretty good. It was a new experience for me. They have a special spicy mayo dip they... make, definitely worth a try. It goes great with the fries. Service: I got there and there weren't any free tables outside.However, the inside was completely empty. They still made me put my name and number down to wait for a table. 30mins later,still no call to get a table. I went back to them stood at the front until they tended to me. Finally got a table and still hadto wait another 10mins until they decided to come take my order. Overall: Carmel is a really beautiful city. Very pedestrianfriendly. The burger was massive and tasty. If they had more workers, I'd be giving them 5 stars. But the service just wasn't asfluid as it should be. I'd still recommend visiting for the food and city! This restaurant is right along the Monon Trail, perfect for biking for walking to. It's within the Arts district, making it a... great stop in the midst of visiting the local shops. After trying bites of both the beef burger and the elk burger, I willlikely always order elk! My youngest ordered a hot dog, which was HUGE! if you like crispy fries, try the waffle fries. We satat an outdoor table. These tables had Uno decks on them, which was perfect for family time before eating. The servers answeredall of our questions and made great suggestions to us! If a restaurant is struggling to provide clean and fresh food, then the restaurant should just admit they are struggling. I... would recommend to expect a 20-30 minute wait plus an uncomfortable waiting arrangement outside. I am not sure who started thetrend, but people sat and stood around the restaurant. Due to that, I would also recommend to avoid outside tables near thepeople watching and listening to your dining experience. The reasons I am giving this place a 2/5 star review was their waterand lemons. I was given a water with hair under the ice. The waiter did have a quick and apologetic reaction as the hair wasneither of ours. Also, container of lemons had spoiled or dehydrated lemons as if someone put them outside for hours under thehot heat. Despite all of that, the elk meat and regular hamburger meat was spectacular. The sweet potato fries and regularfries were perfect. I have no suggestions for their meat and fries. However, the toppings could’ve been better. There shouldbe more quantity or variety of topping options. The meal was too simple for the total price at the end. Read more
