Love Gab n eat. Perfect place for a greasy, filling breakfast. It's always busy so make sure you go early unless you want a... wait. We were seated almost immediately but had to wait about 25 minutes to get our food. Staff is very casual, so don't expect5 star service, however everyone is very friendly. Nice local, small diner. The hospitality is quite nice, and so was the fresh buttered Italian bread. But I cannot say more than that for the positives.... The coffee had little body (watery and too bitter), the home fries had no seasoning or flavor, my omlette tasted like nothing,and the mushrooms were rubbery and looked/tasted like they came out of a can. Great local find! Large portions, good food. Tried French toast, coffee, orange juice, and the KooKoo Omelet. All good!
Fantastic. Don't be in a rush, just drink a pot of coffee and soak in the vibe. #1 reason to visit Pittsburgh.
This used to be the best place! A huge breakfast for cheap. But, it seems like they have changed cooks and the majority of the... staff. Food was not as good. Eggs were burnt and omelet just had a slab of unmelted cheese on top. Also, the dishwasher whowalked past our table continuously putting dishes away as we were trying to eat stunk of the worst smell! We had to hold ournose the majority of the time while we were eating. The owner/manager needs to tell this man to have proper hygiene and to wearsome deodorant. We lost our appetite by the end. Pretty impressive food, very large portions and extremely reasonable prices. The interior is pretty cramped and air circulation... is not great. But if you are here on a weekday when it's not too busy, you'll do fine. The wait staff is extremely friendly andthe whole place has a great small town vibe. Read more
You cannot go wrong w Gab & Eat. This place excels at every aspect on the breakfast menu. The sandwich was perfect and the mixed... grill was delicious too. Even their pancakes are very good for being just plain. Highly recommend this place! Read more
Classic American diner experience. We throughly enjoyed all of the food and the portions are significant. 3 adults meals for $30... in 2022 is unheard of. The value given at this place is top notch. Read more
