Great setting with nice views of Lake Tahoe. The dining room is somewhat crowded, but that is offset by the quality of the... views, food, and service. The waiter was excellent. The food was excellent. The filet mignon was very well prepared and thevegetables were great. Highly recommend. Read more
Sister restaurant to Riva Lakeside Grill in South Lake Tahoe. Same menu and same great drinks. The 'Wet Woody's' are great ($5... off on 'Wet Woody Wednesday'). Good food, too. Try their homemade Salt & Vinegar chips and dip. Only bad thing was the Hostess(I think her name was Carla) was unpleasant almost to the point of being rude. Our experience was not the best. We came in a big party. Our table got seated 45 minutes after the rest of our party. 5 of us... got there a little late, but the restaurant could not be flexible to put us on tables that opened up next to our party. The crabsandwich was served on Sourdough Bread, but it was Sourdough toast. I expect more than toast for a $32 sandwich. Soup was ok,but a little curdled. Bar is fun and friendly. One of the best places to eat in Lake Tahoe. I have been going here forever and make sure yo stop by Gar Woods every time I... come. A reservation is recommended as they are usually very busy. Read more

We came here because we had heard the crab sandwich was amazing. I had the sliders, but my daughter had the crab sandwich. I was... very pleased with my sliders, sadly my daughter was extremely disappointed and couldn't finish her sandwich. It was watery andtasteless. So while I can recommend the restaurant for it's beef, and the view. Stay away from that nasty crab. Read more
