Wow very impressed with the decor first, the staff second, and then the food. The owner was very polite and accommodating... especially with my father who is now in a wheel chair. We had the Beef Wellington which was outstanding and a perfectly cookedPrime Rib. All their steaks are dry aged and you can tell. Will be back for sure. I must have driven past it dozens of times. Glad to finally sit down to enjoy the food. We will be back. Read more

The most beautiful throwback yet classy and a modern elegant twist ambience with killer food. Never disappoints Brought my... sister here for her first time last night for cocktails, saganaki and bruschetta and mostly to show her the unique, artisticdecor and fall in love atmosphere. Read more

Hands down the best Filet Mignon and carrot cake. Simply the best. Highest quality meat and preparation. Great atmosphere and... great staff. We always look for an excuse to dine here. Thank you! Read more

This place has gone downhill big time. Or when the owner is away, the staff doesn't care. I took my wife there for our... anniversary. We waited 40+ minutes to even give our dinner order, AFTER we had our mediocre baked french onion soups. The shrimpdejonge dinner had 5 pieces of shrimp. Just like the appetizer, just $15 more because it's served with COLD vegetables thatshould have been hot. Had ZERO bread crumbs and the shrimp had a fishy, not so fresh taste. My wife's steak was waaaayovercooked, yet her mashed potatoes were literally cold the moment it was served. The waitress forgot her salad entirely. Thenhad the nerve to charge me for 2 cocktails after she removed my 2nd drink before I was even half way done. I never leave badtips. Tonight I did. This is the first time I left there with uneaten food that I did not take home. Now here's the funny part.I ordered Absolute on the rocks. They charged me a dollar for the rocks! There are much better restaurants in the area than thisexpensive disappointment has become. Never again. Ever. Read more

Disappointing. Sat at the bar, ordered the Salmon special that comes with soup or salad. She said, soup or salad? so I looked... real quick and said French onion. Then I was charge 12.00 for the soup. I asked if that was right and she said, oh that?s onlythe house soup. 2 questions. 1. Why didn?t I get told that when I ordered it? 2. Wouldn?t it be appropriate to also offer thesoup that was included to go since I paid for it? Unfortunate. I literally ate here 6 times in 1 month through COVID becausethey were the only ones open. Not sure what happened on this visit. I paid for everything and got out. Order carefully here. Read more

Charming place, good food, and very good service. Just disappointed that while most restaurants in St. Charles are honoring the... 15% discount during Restaurant Week, St. Charles Place did not. Just two items on the menu. It wasn't abundantly clear until wegot our check, and then nobody was there who could do anything about it. Not even a compromise was offered - just a "sorry" and"call back tomorrow." Really? I'll go elsewhere for now - didn't feel like they felt our future business was desired. Read more

Easy to find. At a peaceful location therefore parking was easy. Food was amazing. Enjoyed looking around the decor was unique.... Service could be more attentive, though. The best part about the place was the owner walking around and chatting with thecustomers. You just don't find such personable touch to restos anymore. This (along with the food of course) is what will makeme come back again really. Read more

We came here on our last evening for our friends wedding and we wanted to try a good and unique steakhouse. We didn't know what... to expect when we arrived and the decor looks vintage and the atmosphere was inviting. We ordered some drinks and started withoysters. They were really fresh and the size of them were nice. My wife and I opted to share a 22oz prime rib with a side ofsauteed spinach. After we took our first bite, we looked at each other and we knew this was a perfect prime rib. It wasperfectly cooked and oh so tender. We ate the entire thing and ordered dessert as well. We had the creme brulee and it was alsoamazing. We will definitely come back to St. Charles Place the next time we visit again. Highly recommend! Read more
