This was my 1st time Trying ethnic food and I absolutely enjoyed everything. The food has a lot of flavor and is high quality... well made. You can tell the staff works very well as a team. I ordered a whole chicken tandoori- my hubby and daughter LOVEDit. I tried the chicken makhani- and it's like a sweet buttery sauce I enjoyed with white rice. Read more

Delicious!! My husband and I have dairy allergies and our waiter was fantastic with helping us choose dishes. Everything was... incredible. The imported beers were also a nice treat. The mo mo is made fresh to order and the staff seemed very apologetic, but we understand good, fresh things take time, and it was worth the wait! Friendly and attentive service, we will definitely beback! Read more

I was excited to see Nepali chicken momos on their menu. I?ve been a big fan of momos from my time spent living in Delhi and was... excited to try it. While the momos by itself were great, I felt the chutney could have been more spicy. Did not get a chance totry other items on their menu. It?s located in downtown St Charles and seems like a good place to grab some Indian/Nepali food. Read more

Delicious samosas and traditional Nepalese shrimp. The flavors were well mingled and just the right amount of spice. I loved the... rice pudding, always a favorite and the Himalayas mudslide topped off my night. Will def come back next time I'm in St.Charles! Read more

I was going out for an anniversary dinner with my husband and due to dietary restrictions we had a hard time finding a place... until we found Taste of Himalayas. They have a wide variety of meals there is truly something for everyone. The food was amazingand our waiter was so nice and even helped us order our food so that we could get the best experience for our first visit. Wedrove 30 minutes to dine here and it was 100% worth the trip. I look forward to going back and also my leftovers. :-) Read more

Amazing!!! I have had Indian food before, but not like this. This was excellent. We started off with Masala Tea and Samosas.... Both were super flavorful and delicious. The true stars of the show were the chicken Makhani and the bread flight we ordered.WOW. Simply perfection and something we?re going to crave all the time! Creamy, velvety goodness is the only way to describe thechicken makhani and of course the bread flight and basmati rice complimented perfectly. The staff is super attentive, helpfuland you can see that they love to share their love of food with their guests. We will definitely be making this a regular lunchspot! Read more
