The food was fantastic and it was lively but not too loud. Our server Kaitlyn was great - super friendly and always there if we... needed something, but not overbearing. Good food and good atmosphere. The build your own burger is great. They don?t offer free refills on fountain drinks and didn?t... tell us (or have it in the menu). So a soda with refills was more than an alcoholic beverage. Read more
Went to The Hive tonight with my wife who is the pickiest eater alive. We both ordered the Cajun Pasta with Chicken and my wife... polished it off. It was amazing. Nina and her staff was so friendly and inviting. We have now found our go to place in StCharles. My wife also ordered an espresso martini I think and she also loved that. Can?t wait to go back so many things I wantto try there. I would say it?s not your normal bar food this is elevated to a much higher level and the way it was plated was soclassy and SO good. Good section of tap beer, apps decent..had the mushroom wedges though a bit over deep-friex. Service kinda slow out of kitchen... it was sunday 7pm and nearly empty. Server good. Read more
Had a great time at lunch today. Amazing staff so friendly and helpful. We ordered food but we ate before the phone could lol no... pics sorry. Try anything and everything. It was all delicious and fresh made in house. Also love these mini brew shots! Read more
Enjoyed my visit here. Food never disappoints. The portobello fries are fantastic. Nice selection of beer on tap. Must try the... old fashioned which was carefully crafted by our bartender. It\'s more of a quiet and elevated scene vs the surrounding bars. Read more
Tonight was my first time dining in St. Charles. I will certainly be back just to go back to The Hive again! The owner, Nina, is... truly the sweetest and our server, Phil, was the bees knees!\nAmazing service paired with the Hive steak sandwich and a coldbeer made for a stellar dinner! My friend and I were here for lunch on a Sunday. The server was friendly and warm. The food was O.K. I ordered the fish tacos... with choice of flour tortillas or corn tortillas, I chosen the corn. That was a mistake, it does not go well with the deep friedfish, the \"dressing sauce\" had a good flavor but need more of it, the carrots and cucumber slaw was barley there, the Spanishrice? It wasn\'t, more of a white rice with seasoning and for the re-fried beans was a bit bland. My friend ordered the grilledcheese layered with 3 slices of bread, cheese in between the slices were not enough, and the flavor was a bit bland. So, we notso keen with this place. The seating? Why do they need ALL to be high tables and chairs? Not comfortable for a small personlike myself. Should have a variety seating. Read more
