Really yummy food! They were slammed but managed to give us great service. The chowder is hands down the best item in the menu.... Their homemade champagne vinaigrette was delicious - I took a quart home. They definitely feed you here so come hungry Read more

One of the best seafood place ever. The seafood Mac and cheese was delicious and low country boil was almost too much to finish!... The staff is friendly and went overboard to take care of us. The menu is very diverse and will take care of all tastes in yourgroup. Read more

Had a great fresh seafood dinner while visiting this summer. The wait wasn?t too bad considering we came at prime time Saturday... night. We enjoyed the drinks and all of our meals. Definitely recommend the seafood Mac n cheese and the watermelon margarita! Read more

Went to Michael's seafood for dinner, this was our first time at the restaurant and visiting Carolina Beach. There was about an... hour wait and parking can be hard to get because it sits in a strip mall and there aren't that many spaces. We were lucky andgot 2 spaces near the restaurant. The staff was friendly, none of the entrees are fried, either grilled, baked or broiled. Istarted with the seafood chowder, it was very thick and contained a good portion of seafood. For the entree I order the mixedgrill which was sword fish, scallops and shrimp. My two sides were smashed potatoes and broccolini. My daughter had the kidsmeal. Everything was seasoned well and cooked just right. I would definitely return to this restaurant. Read more

Overall food was good. Service was good as well. The chowder was as good as everyone has mentioned. Salads were good (house,... caesar, beet). My mom had the beet salad and said it was delicious. The steak dinner was good. The loaded tots were super yummyespecially with ranch. The shrimp and scallop scampi was good but could have used a bit more scamp sauce. The catch of theday, tile fish, was good and they were accommodating to make it scampi style with pasta. The galley sampler was good and you'reable to customize it however you like. Overall everything was good but I have had better seafood on the island. Read more

I recommend ordering whatever the specials are as well as the fresh catch. This place is popular with regulars, so they are... doing something right. The one star reviews are a mystery to me. Bland scallops? Shake some of the spicy condiment on them, conveniently located on your table. Food does take time to land in front of you, but the servers are super friendly andaccommodating. Be happy your meal is being made in the first place. You?re not cooking it. My experience with this place waslunch. I ordered off of the Lunch Specials menu. You can?t go wrong with ordering off of that menu. I received a deliciousgrilled swordfish wrap, with pineapple mango salsa. It was just what I needed. Would I go again? Yes. Why not five stars? Nobottled bubbly water or still water. If only . . . Read more

My one and only seafood experience while in North Carolina, Michael's did not disappoint. As a Michigan native, I'm surrounded... by beautiful, big bodies of water. Unfortunately, while there are fresh water fish a-plenty, sometimes a girl wants some craband other sea life! My friend stayed with the tried 'n true land grazers, i.e. steak. I had the seafood chowder and the seafoodpasta. It was very good, if not just a teensy bit dry, but as the proteins were perfectly cooked, I was a happy camper. If andwhen I get back down Wilmington-way for another visit, I'll stop by Michael's. Read more

Ordered the shrimp tempura, house salad, steak with mushroom risotto, and the seafood macaroni with key lime pie for dessert.... Everything was amazing, including our server David. Highly recommend and will return on my next trip to the city. Also the"tropical painkiller" was a great way to take the edge off after a day at the beach. Read more
