For those considering Aquatopia as their wedding venue, it is worth it and it is beautiful. Plus the food is beyond amazing!!!... We would give a standing ovation to Chef Steve and Chef Reshad! So many guests have said it was the best wedding they've everattended and I genuinely believe them. It was hard to know how things would turn out during COVID, but we were given regularupdates on how they were managing with restrictions. There were a few bumps along the way, but their wedding planner (Kayde) wasgreat, very reassuring, and helped us coordinate throughout everything. Jen, their florist, made the most stunning hangingceiling display and was able to make our vision come to life within our budget. Tish, the bar manager, was able to help usfigure out how much booze we needed to order for our guest count and made sure there was a bottle of champagne ready for thebridal party (for when we were waiting in the VIP room for all the guests to arrive). Although we did run out of vodka, all theguests were happy and we were able to get a signature mojito added to the menu. Thank you very much to Aquatopia and all thestaff who made our day special. Especially the server that came outside in the very hot August weather to stand with appetizerswhile the wedding party was taking photos. This is a top notch facility. We were there to plan a wedding. The service was excellent and complete. They handle everything... even a shuttle service to near by hotels and into the city. They provide a beautiful setting with catering, flowers, bar serviceand even fire works. The staff were excellent and they can accommodate 150 people. Read more
I?ve lived in Ottawa/Gatineau for 14 years now and have been to many sites around the area. For the first time I discovered the... Aquatopia Water Garden. This is a nice discovery. The plants here are beautiful and the location is pleasant too as is thestaff. It?s too bad they don?t use the bar to serve coffee or whatever else. It would be a great little oasis escape. I go to this place in the winter the most to be surrounded by tropicals and sit by the koi pond. I journal under the canopy in... the corner and relax to the sound of the water. The cafe was nice when it was open, but I felt they could do a lot more withit. Yoga under the stars is there I know, and you could book the big room for large groups for meetup lunches. Read more
We just had our wedding at Aquatopia and they did the most amazing job. I cannot speak more highly of them. We came to them with... a seemingly impossible request and they successfully planned our wedding in just one month! The wedding turned out sobeautifully. We did both a christian and hindu ceremony as well as our reception at Aquatopia. I would 100% recommend them toanyone looking for a wedding/event venue. I had breakfast with my daughters at the Aquatopia Cafe. The venue is absolutely stunning, a true oasis in Kanata! Staff was... great too, warm and accommodating. However the food was mediocre at best, not a lot of selections either, and way too sweet onalmost EVERYTHING! That aside, we really enjoyed the venue, the goldfish, the frog and the cat. It's probably going to be evenmore satisfying in the middle of the Canadian winter. Read more
Absolutely beautiful place. Loved the greenhouse, plants were well taken care of and all are for sale :) Food was delicious,... although I have to say service could have been better. Waitress completely forgot about us for half an hour, and by the time she came to take our order breakfast was over. However she did slightly make up for it by allowing us to have breakfast anyway.Other than her mistake place was wonderful, the chefs even came out to our tables to see how we liked the food.
