Salad was pretty good. Service was really lacking. Couldn't get silverware because the server was too busy talking to her... off-the-clock colleagues. Also, they couldn't change the channel on the TVs which was pretty annoying. Read more

Looking for plant-based, vegan food to go with some good beer? Look elsewhere, unfortunately. While the beer is good, I was... surprised to find such a limited number of plant-based menu items. Especially in such a hip Southern California restaurant.There is a vegan salad but 1. It's so simple, it can be made at home and 2. There's so many tasty plant-based foods out now, itseems unimaginative to only offer a salad. The crispy cauliflower bites, a vegan staple in many restaurants, are notplant-based. They contain egg according to the waiter and chef. And while the sweet potato fries and regular fries were good,I'm not sure if they were plant-based. I ordered the veggie burger, and again, I'm not sure if there was egg in it. I asked foravocado instead of hummus on it and it arrived without either. I felt bad by that point asking for the issue to be fixed, so Iadded ketchup and it got the job done. Everything put in front of us also came with Ranch dressing, which for someone whodoesn't eat dairy, seemed wasteful. The atmosphere is nice though, and it's clean. And the service is timely. I may visitagain, but only for the beer until they up their plant-based and vegan game on the menu. Read more

Rincon Brewery was really great. Pleasant atmosphere, great beer selection, delicious salads, friendly staff, it all adds up to... one big wonderful experience in Carpinteria. They dont have any dark stouts or porters, but they do have a ton of other choices,so you are likely to find something you like there. I would totally come back here. The service was EXCELLENT!
