This place was so cute! I was there for an event, Pork in the Road?s shrimp boil -delicious, and the atmosphere was great.... Pretty large patio with a clean and spacious inside. The 2 guys behind the bar were both happy to be there and the whole vibewas cool from the decorations & exposed brick to the beer selection, well-hosted event, and clientele. I've been here 3 times, and the first time the service was good. But, the next 2 times, the service was not. The bartenders... don't ask if you want another drink when your glass gets low. They don't seem to care if they get your business or not. Ontrivia night when I took my empty glass back up to the bar... no thanks or acknowledgement or asking me if I want another.Nothing. Not a good place to go if you want friendly bartenders and good service. Read more

I want to like Steel String due to their proximity and their earnest attempts to engage their fans with interesting events.... Unfortunately I just don't love most of their beer. Still, it's a nice place, especially with good weather for sitting outsideon the patio. Read more
