Went for our anniversary dinner a few weeks ago and everything was amazing — favorites were the ricotta gnudi & pork ragu... casarecce. My only wish is that they had the olive oil cake when we were there because we were dying to try it, hopefully it’sback on the menu when we go next time! Read more

Can’t. It was so good. By far better than the pasta I had in Florence and Venice. I got the Linguine with Garlic, Anchovy,... Lemon, and Breadcrumbs. I was expecting long grey ocean friends and a fishy flavor and this was not that at all! Perfect texturewith the light crunch of breadcrumbs, the flavors blended so well with nothing dominating. I could pause and note the lemon andgarlic, and I’m guessing the anchovy is somehow in the sauce? There were not chunks of it in the pasta as far as I could tell.It was divine and I fell into a state of bliss. The portion was perfect - I felt comfortably full with the taste singing in mymouth. Everything there seems to be made fresh. It was nice to be at the bar to watch the food being made. The folks there arereal pros and so thoughtful and even offered me a side of cheese with my dish, since it didn’t come with it (honestly Ididn’t even use it since it was perfection on its own). Good ambiance, nice intimate setting. Must return. Read more

I had been meaning to try Tesoro for months and so glad we finally did! Everything was so fresh and delicious. Loved sitting at... the counter and watching the action. Don’t skip the olive oil cake! My only qualm is that the wine pours felt small. Note-the pork ragu is not tomato based. Don’t worry it’s still DELICIOUS!! Make sure to make a reservation. Read more

Quaint restaurant, only 10-12 tables with chefs cooking at the bar. Menu is refreshingly simple: 7 appetizers, 5 pastas, 3... desserts, and 2 specials. The pastas were not overly complicated, just a handful of good ingredients, like good Italian shouldbe. But everything we had was done perfectly and was delicious. The atmosphere was hip, the music was mostly Led Zeppelin, thedecor spartan, and the prices low. Certainly one of the best values in the triangle for quality. Tesoro is serious food doneunpretentiously. Read more

Beautiful, intimate dining experience. The food is perfectly portioned and packed with flavor. Super vegetarian friendly menu... and the prices are as easy to swallow as the food is. Ordering another pasta dish for dessert :) Read more

Such a gorgeous quaint restaurant. The small intimate dining room with an open kitchen is a treat. The pasta is a dream. I think... about the "local lettuces" everyday. Service is wonderful. Well be back soon!!! Read more

Tesoro is at the top of the list when it comes to Italian food! A serious slice of heaven in Carrboro. Great location for this... cozy new hot spot! The food is all brought in local and pastas are hand made by the chef himself. The pasta dishes areabsolutely fantastic. Al dente has never tasted so good. His staff works their butts off, great personalities all around, fromthe time you walk in the door to when you’re leaving. A M A Z I N G !!! Read more
