Make sure to use H?????o???.??m when booking your stay. They compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have prices... a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I have been stayinghere for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't be disappointed. Rita at the campground makes that placeabsolutely spectacular! She?s kind, attentive and very detailed oriented! She will always go above and beyond for people andshe?s quick with a good camping story! Never let her go!!! Read more

It's ashame that they took the horses, train and golf course and the souvenir shop out why would anybody camp there is beyond me... but the shelters come in handy when you have a birthday party for your family. But the restrooms are closed this time of year, Iunderstand why though. Read more

We stayed 5 days?Beautiful surrounding with trees and spacious sites. Couldn?t connect our water due to the 20 ft away spigot... crossed a bike & walking path! The bathrooms are pretty bad. Needs a good cleaning and none of us had hot water for any of ourshowers! The management is scarcely around and tons of little kids riding their bikes into the night? don?t they go to school??Anyway, I was disappointed in this KY state park and not sure if this is typical or not for KY. We will not return. Read more

Two family camp out. Spots that we had (4 & 16) were small, hilly and crowded. Asked about WiFi password and was told it?d been... down for months. Tap water smells of rotten eggs. We?ve stayed in the past with much better campsites. I do not recommend thetwo sites we rented. ???? ADDITION my daughter ended up with an electric issue. The staff gets a 5 Star rating. They cameIMMEDIATELY and fixed temporary for the night and came back immediately in the morning and completely repaired the plug. Sweet, friendly and very helpful staff. Read more

Beautiful setting but a sadly tired hotel. Very hard for these state park lodges to compete with Disney World, water parks, etc... that attract family travel dollars now. Vintage 70s decor. The views of the Ohio River valley are timeless, though. Read more

We booked a last minute one night stay while on a roadtrip. We looked at hotels in Louisville, but driving through the city it... looked very sketchy. I wanted to stay somewhere quite. This was definitely it. Check in was smooth and the night attendant wasvery helpful and pleasant. The history of the place was really neat and we checked out every we could on our way out.Unfortunately, since our stay was during the week all thier amenities were closed. We couldn't do kayaking, paddle boats, orthe mansion tour. The pool was closed as well. Now to the room. The room was a good size. It is out dated. The linen was clean, but the rest of the room wasn't. It looked like it maybe it hadn't been in use in a long time. There was dust everywhere. Weare not picky so it was fine. We liked the quite, natural beauty, and pleasant staff we would stay again. Read more

We stayed at RV site 3. The water and the electric are FAR from each other and even with a pull through it was hard to get into... a position where we could have both. Our site was pretty steep and there was a decent hole in two different places. Playgroundwas newer and we enjoyed renting out the stone shelter. Read more

Rita and her team really put out the welcome mat for us when we needed an unplanned stop due to mechanical issues. Not only... did they find a place for us during a really busy holiday weekend, they manned the gate late to get us in and settled. Greatfood at the lodge too. Great campground and well maintained amenities. Small town folk remembering how to treat guestsbetter than family! Read more
