First impression. establishment is in a prior Italian restaurant, the decor is relaxing, the location is inspiring. Our order... consisted of fried mushrooms, which are delicious and a Philly cheese steak sandwich, the bread had been toasted, the meat hasno natural juices. It would be better if you order Pizza steak. Knowing there's no sauce that comes on the true Philly and I'vebeen to both Geno's in South Philly or Jim's Steaks on South, the natural juices from the meat that's been soaking in naturalgravy moistens the bread. The best NY pizza available in Carrollton and Dallas. Recommend pick-up over delivery. They?re a mom & pop, not a major chain... with fleets of drivers, so delivery can take a while, but carry-out is ready in 15-30 mins every time. I have ordered pizza here 3 times a month for the last three years. Slowly but surely they have been slipping. Today I placed a... $65 order and was told it would be here in 30 minutes or so. An hour later it still hasn't arrived. I called and was told it wason the way and will be here in 5 minutes. Half an hour later it still hasn't arrived. I ordered for a staff meeting and themeeting is over, still no pizza. I cancelled and ordered from Zalata. I got a call from the delivery driver asking where we werelocated 1 and 1/2 hours after the order. Sorry, but there are too many pizza places to choose from. Ummm. This place is horrible. I believe these reviews pulled over from a different location because it had not been in downtown... Carrollton long enough to accumulate that volume. This place in Carrollton will be out of business in a few months. The shame inleveraging the Amici name given the quality related to that old name and what is absent here is remarkable. The waitresses wereall dressed differently like they were called to work that morning. My wine glass was filthy. On the inside. The empty plateshad food remnants all over them when they were served to us. The fried mushrooms were fried breading with raw mushrooms inside.This place should be on kitchen nightmares and have Gordon Ramsey running the kitchen and wait staff off. I can?t imagine what?sgoing on in the in the back, I bet it would embarrass them. People would walk in to claim takeout and they had zero idea how toconnect them to their order. Been coming here for 10 years. Like others have said service is good, pizza is good, prices are good. I always get the lunch... special : 2 slices of pizza and a drink and have never been disappointed. Check this place out, its fam owned and a localfavorite. 4/5 only suggestion is to improve the chairs / tables. Read more
Found this place on Google. Was just looking for new places close by to eat. SO glad I picked them! Upon arrival I was greated... very quickly by staff ready to take my order. Being my first time I had some questions and this very nice gentleman at the bargave some suggestions. He later advised he was the owners son! I chose the chicken Alfredo and it's just as delicious as he saidit would be! The sauce is amazing, the chicken is tender. Everything was cooked to order and fresh.
