I got the curry chicken meal. The chicken was super tasty. Unfortunately the rice and beans were bland and dry. I added the... curry sauce over my rice to make it more tasty. The cabbage was also undercooked in my opinion. The cabbage and all of theveggies were crunchy and also pretty bland. Hate to compare it to Chicago jerk restaurants or jerk in other cities, but theyalso didn?t have sides like Mac or greens. Read more
I had been wanting to try this spot for some time, maybe a little over a year. I was in the area and I spotted it out of the... corner of my eye, so I decided to stop by. The food was delicious, but the service was somewhat slow. A family came in like 10minutes after me and they got their food first. Its not a big place, but big enough to dine in and it has a bar area. There werea lot of people when I went around 3pm. I'm not sure what they put on the carrots, but those were the best carrots I have everhad lol. I got the 3 meat plate and a Jamaican soda. All in all it was super good. Food was great, taste authentic the service awful. She never returned after the food was delivered, forgot to bring me another... sauce as requested as the restaurant was slow that day. I noticed during a take out order, they forgot to give a customer theirdrink, she returned to get it. They had enough time to be on cell phones though. Delicious Jamaican restaurant. It is a bit pricey as most Jamaican meals in town but the taste is great. A wide variety of... vegetarian options like tofu and vegetables in different ways and flavors. They take their time to prepare your meal but it isworth the wait as it is delicious indeed. Read more
I ordered the jerk chicken and the taste was good however it was a little dry. I?m used to most Jamaican restaurants that have a... little more juice but there was none. Decent food but not the best. Also I ordered the bread pudding and I definitely feelrobbed. $7 for literally a block of dry bread pudding with no sauce. My hubby loves oxtails and this place did not disappoint! The brown gravy was exactly what he wanted them to be in and I had the... curry chicken ????. Everything was falling off the bones! The plantains were so yummy, perfect fry. We both got the rice andpeas and sautéed veggies as the sides. The atmosphere was very chill, it is not a rush in and out type of spot.
