Unfortunately we've given this location several tries. Over the years. We were in there last week with two other tables in the... entire restaurant still waited an 1 and 45 minutes for our food. It showed up cold and the meat was tough. Come to find outthey do a lot of GrubHub and they put the to-go orders priority over the customers in the restaurant. Food quality was terrible. The original two menu items that I chose to order I could not get because they did not have everything to make them. I did speakwith the manager and all he could do was apologize which I appreciate but something needs to be done with this location. We havetried other locations for example Klamath falls. Reno and even Shasta. Never had a bad experience until the location in ourhometown. I am sorry but I would not recommend this location. Save your money. Read more

Delicious food! Awesome service! Ordered chicken and waffles - the waffles were amazing, fluffy, and moist. The chicken was... delicious and flavorful also. Boys ordered omelets and both were great. Well seasoned and hot if the griddle. The berry spritzerwas good. I wish they had a larger straw because the seeds would get stuck in the straw. I blew bubbles in the drink to get themout. The boys laughed! Read more

What a treat! Drove all the way down to Carson City to get a Driver's license renewed. I have been to a lot of Black Bear... Diners in various States. This one is in a hotel. They also had some slot machines. The restaurant itself was not highlydecorated, however, the service and the food were exemplary. Read more

The tri-tip dip sandwich was good. Service was a bit slow. But the staff was nice. Overall the experience was good.

Hated the smokey environment, unfortunately the restaurant is right next to a casino. That being said the staff was friendly and... had a large party sat very quickly. The menu is large and covers all of the basics. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage andpancakes. By far some of the best pancakes I've had in a long time. They're made with sweet cream, this was a winner. Everythingelse on my plate was hot and cooked as asked. The waitress was efficient and everyone said they were happy. I thought the valueof my food was very good. I'll be back. Read more

I wasn't expected this restaurant to be so deeply ensconced in the casino. I don't gamble, so I don't really like entering... casinos. It's not that I'm tempted in any way, it's just that they smell strongly of cigarettes. The food was very good. I hada chicken fried steak, and I have to say the breading gave it a considerable amount of flavoring. The gravy was a bit bland, but most country gravy tends to be, so I only really care about that whenever I have biscuits and gravy, which I only have athome since few restaurants make it as flavorful as I hope for. If you're lactose tolerant as I am, keep that risk in mind.XD The potatoes were delicious. I'd never been to a restaurant that shaved their hash browns in long thick strips (notdepth-wise, in terms on x y z, a fair amount of y (length), more x (width) than you'd expect and the right amount of z (depth). They were crispy and very enjoyable. The eggs were cooked a bit softer than I requested, but nothing was runny in them, so Iwas very satisfied. There was a bed of lettuce and a cooked lemon slice (perhaps by the heat of the chicken fried steak?) and Iaccidentally sliced a bit of the skin and ate it with a bite of the steak and was confused about what gave it that interestingtart flavor. I caught the fruit poking out and laughed. It's nice presentation, but you can miss it since it's under the steak.I have to say that if they grated lemon zest (peel) on a country fried steak, that would be delicious, if it was grated veryfinely. Almost lastly, the biscuits were thick - far thicker than I would have expected, but this was the Grizz meal. Thatmeans fairly big. I ate it in two stages... a bit more than half in the restaurant, and then the rest for dinner that night. Thebiscuits contained another delightful surprise. They're probably made with a combination of butter and bacon grease, giving themthat slightly porky flavor they have. You can munch on them alone, no added butter, no jam or whatever you pr Read more

This blackbear diner is tucked away inside the casino might be a little hard to find if you?re not looking for it. The waitress... was pleasant and attentive. The tables were clean and I assume sanitized. The only criticism I have is the potatoes wereundercooked and the meat in my all meat omelette was overcooked. But the friendly service made up for it. As you can see in thephotos you definitely don?t go away hungry they are very generous portions Read more

Went based on reviews and I give it a 3 stars. We weren't greeted at the door, girl look at us like as we we're lost. We got sat... and ordered, food came fast. Food was presentable and tasteful, we enjoyed our meal. Though our server Sara didn't check on usor greeted us upon arriving or wish us a good day when we left, we still left her $10.00 tip. I hope the customer service getsbetter because they do have good food here. Read more
