We loved the old school diner vibes here! It feels like you?ve stepped into a Time Machine and went back over 30 years in time.... I love how they keep the original aesthetics going here. We ordered the chicken caesar and buffalo chicken salads that came in anice, home style glass bowl. The food was delicious and service was friendly! Highly recommend this hidden gem in Carteret. Five stars for our server Elizabeth. She is the best!!! I cannot say the same about the rest of the waitresses who didn't... welcome us into the diner. When we arrived there was a waiter that didn't even greet us she just told us with the finger whereti sit. Poor her! She didn't see to be happy with her job. We asked her for coffee and she replied: wait for your server. :-( Read more

My father and I got together to get breakfast and went to this convenient location. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking... lot. I walked in and was greeted. It is a local, hometown diner. We sat and Stephanie was our server and she was nice. I wantedthe apple pancakes and my dad got one of the meal combos. When the apple pancakes came out, it was not what I expected. Theapples and walnuts were cooked into the pancakes as opposed to it being on top like I am used to at other locations. I didn'twant to send it back but didn't want to force myself either. I went with the short stack instead and that was ok. My dad saidhis pancakes and bacon was ok as well. The bill was super affordable and we had an ok experience. Read more
This is a dream diner. Great fresh food, kind and quick service, good coffee with quick refills and good vibe. They were on it... as well in regards to dietary restrictions. My fiancée ordered the feta & spinach omelette and a side of pancakes and I got theveggie omelette and a side of sausage. All dishes were really good and to the point. Read more
