Decided to try this place because we were in the area. The host and the waiter (Blake) were inviting and accommodating. The food... was just ok. The spicy seafood ramen was so spicy that my husband could not eat it. The kind of spice that hits the back of yourthroat. He doesn?t eat scallops so they omitted it. It would have been nice if they substituted a shrimp or two. It basicallycame with three shrimp that were cut in half. I got the fried soft shell crab ramen and it was alright. The broth doesn?t havea depth of flavor and the portion is kind of small for the price. I'll just get to the point. Was waiting on our meal, and witnessed the cook in the back drop a piece of chicken on the floor.... Then pick it up with a pair of tongs, and immediately throw it into a fryer. I informed the server of what we observed, andleft. Never in my life have I ever seen such a thing take place. Man this place is so good. I usually get the ramen but have had my eye on the poke bowl and decided to get it. It was amazing.... There was a ton of shrimp and the veggies just completed the meal. Zen Ramen was a great find in this little city. We were passing through on our way to Tennessee and saw this on Google. It's in... a little shopping center but don't let that fool you. The waiter was friendly and prompt and took our drink order quickly whileletting us browse the extensive menu. I ordered the OMG sushi burrito and the wife ordered a ramen bowl. I wish the burrito wasa little bigger but that was only because the flavors were amazing. The food was brought out fast and the staff was checking onus throughout the dinner.
