The food was amazing, the service was great! The brisket was so tender, the pulled pork was scrumptious and the hush puppies... were just right along with some good southern tea, so good! Yum! Read more

Great atmosphere and even better food. We live about an hour or so away and travel a few times a year to eat. Have the sampler... platter, it has a little bit of everything and definitely order the banana pudding!.Worth the trip. If you have access to asmall aircraft you can fly in and pick up your food. Stopped in for dinner tonight. First time in about 7 years. Loved the changes they had made to the restaurant. Same great food.... Pork Tenderloin Sandwich w/ Honey Q sauce was tender and tasty. My favorite however is the homemade hushpuppies w/ jalapenobutter. Delicious! Read more

Got the sampler... perfect for two people. Really enjoyed sitting outside watching the planes land and take off. Staff was... super friendly. Food was good, jalapeños butter on your hushpuppies you should try. Read more

Nice atmosphere, view on the small landing strip from the patio, oldies playing over the speakers... very relaxed. Batter fries... and hush puppies are great! Really good chicken! Pulled pork very similar to most, good, but not outstanding. The brisket has agood flavor, but it, and the pork, were a little dry for my taste. All in all, an enjoyable lunch and well worth the drive. Read more

What an interesting place for a restaurant. Makes me wish I had a plane to fly in. Great hushpuppies and fries. Bbq was tender... and smoky. Plenty of seating inside and decorated with plenty of flight memorabilia. Great memorial outside to one of the localWWI veterans. Great day trip if coming by car or plane. Read more

My motorcycle club went for a ride in this area and one of the guys had eaten here before and said it was some of the best food... around. As we approached the place the only thing I was thinking was "where the heck are we?" We turned into a driveway/roadwith a little, private airstrip on the right that ended in a gravel parking lot. Talk about a diamond in the rough. This placeis fantastic. I had the smoked leg and thigh. It was juicy and the flavor was so good I didn't put any sauce on it. I also triedthe brisket (apparently their most popular dish) and it was very good. I would order the brisket in the future and I don't evenlike brisket normally. Another person in our party had the club sandwich and he said he'd come back for just that sandwich. Thatsays a lot considering we live in Johnston County about 2 hours away. Everything is made fresh daily and when the food is allgone the place closes. I will definitely be back anytime I'm in the area and will make it a destination when I'm just looking togo out for a long ride on the Harley. Read more

The food was really good. I like the ambiance of this place as well. It's located on the airport, so if you sit outside you can... watch the planes take off and land. The only downside is that they only take cash. They have an ATM on site, but it charges a$2.50 surcharge. For the prices they charge, they should be able to accept credit cards. Read more
