Absolutely incredible! My first time trying Ethiopian food, and certainly not my last. I got the beef tibs. The man working the... truck was very kind, and even demonstrated how to best eat the meal by tearing off pieces of the injera bread and pinching thefood into it. So, so good!!! Read more

Merkato Cafe's food truck was at the Cary Food & Flea this weekend, and I ordered the Merkato Special (chicken, beef, &... vegetables). There is a vegetarian option for those inclined and, I suspect it's just as delicious as the meat. While the waitwas longer than the nearby taco truck's, I found that I was well-rewarded with an incredibly-spiced and sumptuous dish that Inow plan to actively look for at future Triangle events. I recommend you take the opportunity to find the Merkato Truck whereverit is, and remember that good food takes time. Read more

The best injera and Ethiopian food you can find in town. Beni was a good host at his food truck. They use non hormone injected... halal chicken, quality beef to make their entrees. The injera were really close to the ones I have had in an authentic Ethiopianrestaurant. Check out their website for the food truck schedule! This is their base location but they move around every day. Read more

I've been looking to try to eat at this Ethiopian food truck and it happened to be nearby at Highwoods in North Raleigh. It... wasn't busy at the time it was just after noon, owner was very friendly and took the time to describe his menu. I got theveggie combo and boy was it fresh and delicious very tasty plus a good amount of spices and just enough. They cook everythingfresh so it took 15 minutes to prepare but it was well worth the wait I highly recommend it. One downside is the loud generatoron the outside kind of makes talking difficult. Saw the food truck while driving through Cary and had to stop in. The owner was very friendly willing to help, asked if we had... eaten Ethiopian food before and was willing to help us decide. We got the Merkato Special to try all the things and it wasdelicious. Everything was well seasoned and you could tell the pride that the owner took in his food. I will definitely stop byagain the next time I am in town. ( Make sure to order extra injera! ????) Read more
