I love this winery so much! The location is an absolute winner in the mountains, next to a creek. They have a great/large... selection of wine, beers, & other cocktails to choose from. The day of our visit they were understaffed, which could be disastrous, but we had an absolutely wonderful experience!! Our... waitress was so pleasant and kind. Even in her rush, she was joking with us and enjoying her day! The food was fantastic!!Charcuterie, French dip, BLT, fish tacos, tots, fries were all so delicious!! GREAT FOOD IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING I have always liked Wines of Colorado, so I was a bit worried when I heard they had changed... management. I needn't have been concerned. If anything, the food was even better than before. I had the Zebulon Pike bisonburger and it was genuinely one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Cooked perfectly with a fabulous char and fabulous sauteedmushrooms, gruyere, and a red wine reduction. The dessert was a special, a vanilla cream with a consistency like cheesecake,topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Fabulous stuff. Our wait staff was really incredible, moving tables aroundto get us one with an umbrella right next to the creek, and just generally being incredibly attentive and welcoming and speedy. A sign on the front door said they were understaffed, but you wouldn't have known it when we were there. I'd go back for theservice alone! The menu is bigger than before but still has a lot of the old favorites, which was great to see. And the newowners have really done some nice refurbishing. The only tiny down side is that they don't seem to do wine tastings anymore. Still, I asked for a recommendation for which wine to pair with my dinner and the staff's suggestion was spot on. There are alimited number of truly creekside tables, and they do take reservations, so if you're really keen to sit right beside the creekyou may want to call ahead. But there is plenty of outdoor seating and the setting could hardly be more pleasant, with thebabbling of the creek and the twitter of passing hummingbirds. This is a great place to take guests or to visit if you're fromout of town -- or just any time you want amazing food in a beautiful place. Read more
Love the vibes. Gorgeous view of the creek behind (Fountain Creek). The ambiance of the sound of the creek while wine-tasting is... perfect for happy hour. The wines are delicious and local. Try a flight of four different endless options. Reasonably priced.Looked like a good menu as well, but we were only there for the wine. Read more
I have to say that I am disappointed in this place. We went here 10 years ago when we first moved to COS and was not impressed.... We heard it was under new ownership and decided to give it a new try. The prices are crazy for quality. I has the chicken parmwith mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken was tough and tasted like the frozen chicken you get at the store and the gravy waslike gravy you buy in a packet. My wife had the eggplant and I'll save her comment. I know Covid has changed costs and they havepassed all of it on to their menu but they need to step their quality up to match their prices. The staff was awesome and wetipped our waiter almost 50% because he was so good, but the food is no for us. We wish them the best but we won't be returning. Read more
Highly recommend! Atmosphere, staff, pricing, and food were all amazing!! Still day dreaming about the stuffed mushroom app. The... crust on the chicken pot pie was perfection! The flight of wines is a great way to explore many of their options and theability to buy a bottle of your choosing to take home is a nice touch. They seem to be in the midst of hiring more staff tomeet the high demand, but it is evident how hard they’re working to make this place wonderful. It already is! I was in Colorado having some "me time" and this little restaurant was recommended to me. I LOVED everything about it. The... service was awesome! The manager on duty ( cute little blonde girl) was so friendly and helpful. The bartender took great careof me. My steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The wine list was fantastic. I would drive back to Colorado (I live in utah) just to go back to this place. Read more
