The food was blah, no seasoning and definetly not authentic Mexican. I added salsa, salt and pepper, to my food; it did not... improve the taste of the food. There were only a few people there and now I know why. I will never eat there again. What adisappointment, not good. I threw the left overs away. They need to hire a real Mexican cook who know hiw to cook Mexicanfood. . I am very disappointed. Read more
Wow! Absolutely wow! I had Chili Verde, and it was amazing. The other two dishes in pic were Malinche. But the portions were... little smaller than Mexican restaurant we normally eat; this is a Bay area though. Read more
I LOVE Don Jose's!!! I've been going here for 20+ years, I have never been disappointed with the food or service, after all... these years the food has never changed, salsa is delicious has a great flavor and spice, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the spicy enchiladasplate, they are so good I can eat them everyday and never get tired of them. I can't give this place enough love. My husband and I come here regularly and it NEVER disappoints. The food is great (our go... to is the fajitas), the staff is ALWAYS friendly and the vibe in there is comfortable and feels like home. I will always loveDon Jose's and will always be a regular. On May 4th we held a wedding luncheon for 20 people in the banquet room and it was perfect. We had two dedicated servers, one... very experienced gentleman server, and a new girl (we were apparently her first table). Both were excellent, and very friendlyand attentive to the group the entire time we were there. We all ordered off the regular menu and we had no issues that I wasaware of. Food came out quickly and they brought drink pitchers so we could refill as needed. They even took our two small cakesback to be refrigerated until we were ready for them. Overall, we were very happy with Don Jose's and would highly recommendthem. Their banquet room is cozy... probably seats 25 to 30 comfortably. We had tables lined up to make a single long table andthat was perfect for our group of 20. We also had a single table set up in the front corner of the room for our cakes. It's a cute place and they serve margaritas but the food is very bland. :( not really authentic at all. Chips and salsa were... good for the kids. Great place for a large gathering. Read more
