Food is worth the trip! Definitely takes me back to our New Orleans trip and all the amazing food the city is known for. Staff... is friendly, service is quick and it's busy, bustling and packed inside just like most paces in the French quarter. Would becool to see them in a bigger place street side, but I'll be back regardless. Read more

Good selection of southern favorites with a pretty authentic flavor. Having been to New Orleans many times and having tried all... of their well known ?best place for?? IMO, the flavors are right, that doesn?t mean they are great or that they may suit BayArea palettes. We ordered a bunch of different dishes and they were all pretty good. Spicy, salty and some very peppery. Iwasn?t crazy about the soft shell crab, especially since the gills and stuff where fried with the crab and not removedbeforehand. I found the string beans overpowering with the amount of salt and pepper. Overall a decent experience where therewas takeout or limited indoor and outdoor seating options. I would go back when I have a hankering for southern food. Theprices are decent and food is pretty good. As with many places during Covid, service is limited and wait times can be long, even for takeout orders. With the table right by the front window, you can also see the cooks making all of the dishes, thekids got a kick out of that. Read more

With a high online ratings and recommendations, we decided to try this place for an early dinner today. We ordered online three... entrees for pick up...blackened shrimp over grits, fried catfish and shrimp with Cajun fries, and a full seafood gumbo. From thetime I ordered (2:55 p.m.), to the time it was ready for pickup (4:15 p.m.) was just over 1.25 hours. The subtotal was $46. 1)Not sure why it took this long to prepare my order, plus it was in the late afternoon! By the time I got home, every thing waswarm, and the fried items were luke warm. 2) Before leaving the store, I checked my items and confirmed there were 3 items inthe bag. However, the seafood gumbo over rice @ $14.50 was in a small plastic container, therefore, I wanted to double checkwith one of the staff members that it was not a side order. They confirmed the size was a full sized order! ???? Not muchseafood after poured over all that rice. Flavor was just OK, I've definitely had much better. 3) The fried shrimp and catfishwith Cajun fries @ $15.75 was a sad bunch. There were only 4 little shrimp and 2 slivers of catfish, but plenty of fries. Theshrimp were dry, and I've never seen Canjun catfish so small! The shrimp and catfish were a seasoned with a cornmeal batter, nothing special. 4) Blackened shrimp over grits @ $15.75 was also small in size with 7 small shrimp. Taste of shrimp was againjust OK. Overall, I was disappointed and sadly will not be back. Read more
