This place is not worth it for the price. The food was nasty. And one of the staff members was really rude to me when I called... to book a reservation. I was incredibly stressed out due to the fact that someone had booked a room for me to be with someonewho is abusive towards me, but when I called to reserve a room by myself some staff member named Kristen kept laughing at mebeing audibly nervous and inexperienced when it came to reserving a hotel room. If it wasn’t for the situation I was in Iwould’ve hung up and picked another hotel there and then. And I agree with what someone else said in their review that thishotel is more of a motel than a hotel. I expected to be walking down the hallways to switch rooms but it was like being at aslightly better version of a motel 6. It wasn’t a completely terrible place to be in but honestly if you are ever in asituation where you need to escape from someone don’t even expect to be understood and supported by staff. This is not my first time staying at Hillside boutique hotel, we love it, it’s the perfect getaway. The staff is amazing,... Helpful and kind. This time We had an issue with a third party booking and Samantha went out of her way to help and accommodateus. Thank you Samantha we appreciate your hospitality and kindness. On top of that The rooms are clean and roomy, there’s amicrowave and fridge which is a plus especially when traveling with children. My children love the Pool and the restaurantoffers a good variety of food and drinks. We will be back soon! Read more
Dinner 9/7/22 The food and service at the restaurant are usually BOTH good (at least on weekends). I went during the week this... time and it’s definitely not the same quality - the service was much more mediocre. We’ve had banana infused tea (which istypically offered on weekends) but when we ordered it during the week, the waitress was adamant they didn’t have and“never” had it....she was less than happy when we asked her to inquire with the bartender. The bartender was pleasant andknew just how to make it. The waitress, unfortunately, continued to deliver sour service. Comments on the food: best shrimptacos and street corn! Yum! ???? Read more

Im an aircraft mechanic, and i travel a lot. I was dispatched to Hondo, Texas to work, and another employee booked us a room... there. All i can say, is that it was the nicest, coziest, brilliantly decorated hotel ive stayed at in over 20 years. I thoughtI was at a spa just in the shower.... beautiful view from the back porch, amazing bed, beautiful decor, great coffee.......kudosto all the staff..... Read more
This was a REALLY good value for money. You can't beat a hillside view for 150 dollars a night. We did not get to check out the... spa (spent time doing other things) or the bistro (closed on the days we were there) but we did enjoy the cabanas by thepoolside and there were plenty of places to sit. It's a 4 star for me because the water pressure in the shower was hard toutilize and I've had more comfortable sheets at other places. I would still HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for acheaper getaway! Read more
Honestly this could be an absolutely beautiful property if properly kept up. Rugs were not cleaned, curtains were dusty and the... number feral cats is ridiculous. The staff was nice enough and helpful but in all honesty this hotel needs a lot of repairs anda really good cleaning. Spend some money and make this property the showplace it could be. Read more
