If you visit Mammoth Cave Park or the surrounding area, you have to go here. From Florida and have eaten here twice in one... week! Crust is amazing and fresh ingredients. We had the veggie pizza! Discovered this great little pizza place while visiting for the summer. The Taco Pizza was quite amazing! Super clean pizzeria.... Service was fast and friendly, and overall we had a really nice experience. Had a great conversation with one of the ownerswhile there. My husband and I decided to give Cave City Pizza a try for carry-out tonight. We ordered a large--half "When in Brussels" and... the other half plain white pizza. We also added both marinara and garlic butter dipping sauces. This was one of the best pizzaexperiences we have had in a long time. The lady who took our order on the phone was courteous and accommodating. We told her wewere about 40 minutes away so she said she would wait to make our food so that it would be hot and ready when we arrived. Pickupwas a breeze, and our pizza was excellent. The crust was just right--not too thick, not too thin, a little crispy on the outsidewith a nice chewiness inside. The brussel sprout and bacon combo was delicious. The white pizza was flavorful as well. Thegarlic butter dipping sauce was a tiny bit too sweet for our tastes, but the marinara sauce was great. Prices were a tad higherthan a chain like Papa John's. However, for the quality, we felt like the expense was justified. Even though it's a bit of adrive for us, we definitely plan to be return customers of Cave City Pizza. Yum! Read more
Absolutely PIZZALICIOUS! We were first time customers and found this GEM of a small restaurant. We decided to try the pulled... pork pizza to mix it up on our mini vacay to Kentucky. To start at the foundation is their crust- full flavored, crisp bottom,golden perfection (I personally judge pizza by the crust quality). The pulled pork topping was glorious- each bite held tendersavory chunks of porky goodness glazed in BBQ sauce that was neither too sweet (which we find off putting) nor too savorybalanced with a touch of spiciness and the bacon lends the perfect amount of saltiness needed to round out the flavor profile.The combination of cheeses was an ooey gooey balance of mozzarella and cheddar topped with piquant red onion slightly kissedwith char and served piping hot. I have only had two other pizzas of this quality that left such memorable impressions- 1st inItaly and 2nd Nevada City, CA. I was instantly transported to both the previous places from the first skeptical bite. Whensomeone is capable of transporting you to such places in your memories through one bite of their food it must be shared with theworld ????. Thank you Cave City Pizza you are a true culinary gem that needs to be shared! We are already making plans to returnto explore and try your other curated pizza options in the near future. I loved this place! First thing that impressed me, as we were waiting for our pizza, was how clean the kitchen area was: five... stars for this, for sure. Next was how large the large tossed salad was. The lettuce was fresh and the cherry tomatoes that areusually bland, were sweet. The pizza Margarita we had was very good, with a hearty garlicky tomato sauce and with basil leaveson top: a nice touch. The service was fast and very friendly. Good for a quick lunch. The pizza isn't amazing, tastes like what we can make at home for cheap. But, there isn't a lot in this... area. There also isn't any beer here, not just no good beer, there literally isn't any beer. But, the people are really nice forsure, I'd like to see them expand and do more than they are. Read more
Needed a quick pizza fix when we got into town and found this gem downtown Cave City. They have a wide variety of pizzas and... flavors. We went with their white pizza and added chicken and also their cheese breadsticks with the garlic butter sauce. Thesmell as we were driving back to the hotel was amazing and the flavor did not disappoint. Prices were decent and the service wasfast. I'd go back next time I'm in the area. Read more
