Had a group lunch here. Food was fabulous. Group had burgers and salads. The salad was delicious and the chicken on the salad... was a good size portion and super moist. Had reservations. Hostess was clueless and seated us in a horrible location. Then moved us to a less horrible location....and... there were many empty tables. Waitress and other staff were good and attentive. Food was sub par to average. Drinks were notgood.....bartender school is needed. Oil to cook with was cheap tasting. Beef was overly fatty. My wife and I recently ate here, not being here for some time, and they haven't miss a beat. First of all, I love Cave Creek and... this is a hidden gem of a restaurant nestled into some amazing scenery. She had the sea bass dinner special and I had theschnitzel. Both were outstanding and we also split a compressed arugula salad. All of it was phenomenal, as was the service.Drinks came lightning quick and the entree timing was perfect, as well. As a critic, I have nothing to criticize. First, I loved my Prickly Pear Margarita - refreshing, a glass of elegance and... excellence. The chowder was beautiful and just the right portion, my pasta is next to perfect, the chef certainly knows how tobalance and tease my taste buds. My partner was equally happy with his drink, the fish and sorbets. We were chatting whilstwatching a bare-footed golfer to swing the ball onto the greens. The place is full at sunset, so booking is essential. Adefinite local favorite, well-worthy of a return visit. Read more
My wife and I shared our wedding anniversary there this evening. The food and service were simply superb. My "Old Fashion"... drink was very well crafted .. excellent! We did bring home some leftovers. We will definitely be going back there. My onlyother comment is that it can get a bit noisey as there arent any soft surfaces to absorb sound in the big room. This place is beautiful. Had the trio of salsa / appetizer to start was great. A little bit disappointed with the nosh. Wasn't... quite as good as the first time I had it. Scratch the tomatoes on top. The sauce they use to have was better. But will always beback. Love this place. This is a picture of what it was like before. Read more
Had a great meal here. The martini was so good I'd like one right now! The veggie options are great and the service is top... notch. Loved sitting by the fireplace. Reduced the atmosphere rating as they have a very prominent TV that was very distractingduring our dinner. Maybe separate the bar more from the dining area. I don't like that when I'm having a nice meal. Read more
