Steel Hands Brewery is an attractive little spot in a quiet corner of Cayce, SC. Whether indoors with AC or outdoors with a... little sun is your thing, there is a table for you. While indoor seating is my preference during the warmer weather, it is alsofairly loud as there isn?t much sound dampening and even a small to medium size crowd can generate a lot of echoey noise inside.For the sun-loving folks, there is a stage outside which is often filled with local talent playing live music to get your toestapping while you toast. From Sunday brunch options to the every day selections, the food menu has enough to offer where mosteveryone should be able to find something to satisfy their craving. On this particular visit, I had the grilled shrimp basketfilled with a 1/2 lb. of fresh shrimp, seasoned well and coated in a sweet & zesty lime glaze. The grilled shrimp pairedperfectly with the double battered foreman fries which had enough flavor that a ketchup or sauce of choice is entirelyoptional. The beer selection is great as well if you?re already a fan of Steel Hands as I am. If you?re new to this brew,sample a flight and find your next favorites! I had the Strawberry Breakfast Ale with my brunch platter which starts with theale as the base pour, a generous helping of champagne in the middle, and topped with just a splash of citrusy orange juice tomake a great beermosa. There is a lot to like at Steel Hands Brewery, but there are aspects that could be improved as well. Imentioned the noise aspect above so I?ll just leave it at that ? folks who are quiet talkers may have a hard time conversinghere. Secondly, maybe it was just something about this visit, but there were a ton of flies. We had to move indoors afterstarting at a table outside for all the flies getting after our food and drink. Great atmosphere as well as the beer. Had the classic brunch plate and it was amazing. Had a cool car show going on as well!
Haven't been to the brewery, but enjoying this particular brew on Memorial day! Grilling hamburgers and hotdogs. ????????
Super neat brewery situated an industrial community right beside a steel mill. Building has metal architecture with indoor... seating as well as a large outdoor space including an outdoor stage and plenty of seating. Landscape is nice with grassy areaswhere you can even set up your own chairs. They offer a good selection of DELICIOUS food and a wide array of beer that's brewedon site. Foreman Golden Ale is my husbands beer. I like Tropical IPA. Coffee Lager and Pecan Brown Ale is good mixed together. Always... have good bands and no cover charge. Great atmosphere, kid friendly, pet friendly outside. Favorite hangout spot! Food isgood. I always get shrimp. They have bacon wrapped scallops, never tried them because they are always sold out! We had a great time at the oyster roast. The oysters were amazing!! The only thing we were not too happy about was that they... didn't give you any kind of plate. A paper plate would have been less messy. But we loved the atmosphere and the band wasamazing too. Read more
Went for a retirement party and it was our first time at the brewery. The beer was great and although they had several... appetizers available that looked and smelled great, we only had a pretzel which good as well. We will like to go back when theyhave a band playing. Read more
