I feel bad for the owner who invested in this restaurant. I don't think they have any idea the number of people walking out of... their establishment simply by witnessing horrific customer service. I stopped with my family for a healthy option on our wayback to Utah. The girl at the register was so rude and acted like being at work was the worst thing ever. We all noticed itright away but tried to engage and make the best of it. We placed an order for 3 sandwiches. 40 minutes later we still did nothave our meal. The one other group in the place engaged us and told us to run because they had waited a long time for poorlymade food. While waiting we watched countless people come in and walk out simply because they witnessed the way the employeeswere treating each other and customers who would ask questions. Eventually we walked out. We were closing in on 50 minutes andwe could not wait any longer. We went around the corner, walked into another place and were instantly greeted in a cheerful wayby 3 employees. We placed an order and in 7 minutes we had our food and we were back on the road. This is a tale of twoestablishments, 3 minutes apart in distance, one was full of untrained teens who had no clue how to run a business and providecustomer service. The other was full of well trained teens who had been trained to be professionals and provide a customerexperience that is fun and positive. The manager even had a nice note for customers to read on their visit. On our ride home weused the two places to teach our children about customer service and business. In the end we felt sorry for the owner of thisTropical Smoothie location because they have a decent business model that offers customers a healthy choice. Every couple of months I try this location again and every time I regret it. The food is always half cooked, today the cheese in... the quesadilla wasn't melted (it wasn't even warm) and all the other ingredients were piled in the middle. They take 3 times aslong too and the smoothie had no flavour, but plenty of ice chunks if that's what you like. They always tell me they're slammed,which is strange when I'm looking at an empty lobby. Read more
Stopped in for a smoothie yesterday and it was good. Was driving through town the other day with some friends and we stopped in... for smoothies. After looking at the menu, and asking some questions, I decided on the açai smoothie. I made sure to add peanutbutter and Chia seed to that because I needed a little extra protein and yummy. The staff here was super friendly. The entirerestaurant was very clean or the establishment. I also popped into the restroom which was super clean. Read more
There was a long line at the drive through so we went inside and discovered only 2 people working. They were exhausted but... continued to work very hard to get orders out. The owner/manager aught to tip them big time. I suggest that the owner do somerecruiting and take exceptional care of the employees. Read more
I need to first say the employee working here was AMAZING despite being the only one there. She was polite, attentive, and did... so well at trying to keep up with how busy it was. She deserves accolades and a raise for putting up with whomever understaffsthe place. Sadly, we won?t go back because the food was REALLY bland and overpriced for what it is. Read more
First time stopping through town and it's a hit. Really great lunch items and combo with a smoothie for a great priced lunch. I... can be very particular with my foods and they treated me with respect and understanding. Love this highly recommend for aregular summer eating spot! I got a grilled cheese and the cheese was barley melted and the bread was so burnt it was disgusting? my smoothie was mostly ice... as well, not smooth like it usually is. I usually love Tropical Smoothie but they did not so it good at all today, way toorushed. Read more
As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted by an awful stench. That should have been my first sign to not order from here. I've... worked food service before, so I understand that an empty lobby doesn't mean there aren't orders, but I could see a girl withsandy blond hair and glasses leaning against the smoothie counter on her phone, ignoring the fact I was there. I figured outwhat I wanted before trying to get her attention, and she rolled her eyes and came up to the register. She was short andunwelcoming the entire time I was ordering, and didn't even wash her hands before making my smoothie after touching her phoneand my cash. It kinda grossed me out, but the smoothie was too expensive for me to give much of a fuss. Once she finished makingmy smoothie, she was rude in almost shoving it at me and going back to the same spot she had been, and getting back on herphone.
