Let me start with, this is my first time at this location and I have had zero issues with any of the others in the past. I... ordered for delivery. The driver showed up with 2 pizzas (I ordered 1). I let him know that I only ordered one. He doublechecked and said, I'm right, the orders were mixed up and asked me to wait. He got into his car and sat there for a minutebefore leaving. After awhile I called the location and was told they could put a rush on another order but have no ETA. Iasked if it would be an hour, two, more? I have been to a few Aurelio's in IL in including the original in Homewood, but this location has the best pizza of all the... others. Pizza is cooked to perfection. Pepperoni nice and crispy on top. Crust baked to a nice crispiness but not over baked. Iorder with extra sauce to really perfect the pizza and it is delicious. I highly recommend and even recommend ordering pizza forbig parties. I have ordered here many times and eaten inside, no problem, but I will never order online again, got there to pick it up, they... couldn't find my order asked me 3 times what I ordered then said it was in the oven cooking, supposed to be ready at 5:45 wefinally got out pizzas at 6:10 and 1 of them was completely wrong! If you can find a better pizza joint than Aurelio's Pizza please let me know. We had a 10u baseball team celebrating a birthday.... Pizza was cooked to perfection and waiting for us as we sat down. Staff was amazing and so accommodating. The best part is theprofessionalism they portrayed throughout the night. First time trying Aurelio's Pizza in Cedar Lake as just moved into the area. I received a coupon for a new resident free medium... pizza so ordered that and another large pizza. I am giving 5 stars as the pizza was on time when I picked it up, the customerservice was great - the person working there gave it to me with a smile and answered my questions about the rewards on the app(she gave me the receipt and advised to scan the code on the receipt into the app). Huge fan of deep-dish and pizza in general so I was looking forward to this. I'll start negative and finish with the... positives. Negatives: Service was subpar. The restaurant was fairly busy for a Tuesday night and it appeared understaffed. Ittook way longer than most restaurants to get the server to see us after being seated. We ordered garlic bread as an appetizerand it contained an excess amount of salt. Positives: our server was great and did her job well. The garlic was still deliciouseven with too much sodium. We got a Medium 13" Stuffed Pepperoni Pizza and it was great. Pizza had the right temperature, wasdeliciously messy, and the stringy cheese seemed fresh based off of its consistency. The sauce was tangy with a hint ofsweetness. It was good. Overall I would go back. The subpar staffing for accommodating guests is worth the food. Read more
