Got the Texas trill sandwich. It looked and tasted like it was all chopped brisket and no ribs. Would have preferred slices of... rib meat. It also came on a white bun even though it says jalapeño cheddar. The gold sauce tastes like the sauce at salt lick,but slightly sweeter. The sweet tea was not sweet at all. This place is, how do you say "most dope"!! I did leave quite "woke" from my badass ribs! Super meaty and full of flavor! The... Golden sauce is on point, def asauce to grab!! Lovely luncheon! Enjoyed the three dishes ordered. The meat is so amazing, tender juicy and flavorful. Pork Ribs and Sammich is... really amazing, a must try. Not your typical BBQ place. In a good way. They have great sandwiches, different ways of serving BBQ, and sides. The only... traditional BBQ dish is ribs. The McDowell (think Coming to America and you'll get the humor) is probably the best rib sandwichever created. The mustard coleslaw is very tasty. Just a hint of mustard taste. And definitely save room for the banana pudding.Once you eat here, you'll want to come back to try the other Sammies. I know I will! Read more
This is from their food truck at Crossover. I was enticed because bbq can be so expensive and all their menu items are... reasonably priced. Probably the worst tasting bbq I?ve had in Austin. What a great addition to the Cedar Park restaurant scene. We stopped here for a quick lunch and had a great experience. Order at... the counter and seat yourself. The menu primarily consists of various BBQ sandwiches. I had the Notorious P.I.G.which was hugeand flavorful. My husband had the Bougie bowl which he wasn?t a huge fan of but the bbq was still delicious. I really enjoyedthe various sauces that they had available. The mustard sauce was really amazing and they even have an Alabama-style whitesauce. They also have a kids? menu with a variety of sliders. Overall, a solid choice for bbq in Cedar Park. I?m so happy that SLAB is finally close to me. I got the brisket nachos to go and it was great! I love that they put all the... ingredients in separate containers and you can decide how much you want on your nachos. I will say I?m not a fan of the originalbbq sauce (personal preference) they use but I just get one of the other ones that they have. I?ve also had the Texas Tornadoand it can definitely be 2 meals in one. Banana pudding is good! Not too many bananas in it which is how I prefer it. The iconicrapper cookie is just okay. 9-7-22 about 5pm: Rib plate with glaze. Meat just melts off the bone, amazing. Glaze adds like little kick with honey type... flavor to them, but very good. Need to go back to try the non glazed ones. They were so good! Texas Tornado burrito felt like itwould have been better but mine seemed to have lots of mashed potatoe that seemed to overtake the rest if the flavors. So it wasgood. Tried the nachos with option of all meats. Very good meal by itself. Tried small side of mac n cheese along with potatosalad, both were ok. Read more
