While the kids are at Grandma's, my husband and I had a date at Brewhemia and tried the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant. It was... flaky, perfectly cooked eggs and bacon, melty cheese, and all the flavors were soooooo good! Great recommendation from mybrother! Oh! And the cherry crumble looked amazing. My favorite coffee shop in CR! I frequent this place for its tasty eats. The staff are friendly and the vibes of the shop are so... positive. My faves: the Bohemian, the egg and cheese croissant, burrito, and the cookies (especially the one with sprinkles).Love spending time here! Read more
2017 Review: When you are looking for local character and good quality - along with meeting a variety of other needs - Brewhemia... checks all the boxes. It's a great place to meet business associates or friends, as it has diverse seating options. They offer amenu with a wide array of gourmet coffee, food, and other drink choices. I am regularly there for breakfast and enjoy their eggcroissant sandwich or biscuits and gravy. For lunch, I have had their curry chicken sandwich. It isn't a strange sight to seesomeone sitting for hours here reading a book or doing work on their laptops. It is located in one of the richest cultural areasin downtown Cedar Rapids. 2021 Update: Much of the above is still true except maybe there have been some menu changes sincethen and that I get the bacon burrito for breakfast there now. I love the burrito - its a great value, filling and flavorful.Comes with a homemade salsa and cream cheese in an environmentally friendly box when you're getting it to go. Our son moved here in June and this is hands-down our FAVE place to come and eat! Wonderful vibe, decor, excellent food and... beverages. The pumpkin pancakes were AMAZING!!! Avocado toast was perfect. You will not be disappointed if you go out of yourway to come here. Read more
Not really sure what all the hype is about when it comes to this place. I've ordered from here a handful of times and its... either good (not great) or really bland. The breakfast seems to be a little better than the lunch. I ordered the lunch burritoa while back and it had zero taste. No seasonings at all. My latest attempt was their grilled chicken sandwich. I asked forit without jalapenos. What I received was a chicken sandwich cut in half. On one half, it was piled with jalapenos, on theother half instead of jalapenos...sliced carrots. What?? Sliced carrots? On a grilled chicken sandwich? That definitelywasnt a listed ingredient. Read more
