We just rolled into Cedar Rapids after driving from Des Moines at midnight and checked into the Holiday Inn on Collins Rd and... asked the front desk for a late night pizza place. Even at 12 in the morning, the owner and his grand daughter were a treat, great little hole in the wall place. Got our go to... sausage, mushroom, and onion as well as trying their chicken Alfredo with mushroom pizzas. From someone who grew up in RockfordIL and has had legit Chicago and New York Pizza I can say this rivals the best of the best hands down. Crispy well seasonedcrust, fresh toppings, you can even tell at even the latest hour every pizza is made with care and craft seldom seen anymore. I ordered a calzone with bacon, tomato and light onion. Calzone was thin for $20 and had turkey bacon. When I called to complain... about getting turkey bacon the kid said that's all they had. I stated, was that on the website site and he said yes. I lookedback and not one mention of turkey bacon. First time ordering from company] and never again. Late night delivery to a local hotel was not a problem. Pizza was good, nice to try a different place, and not a chain, for a... little different taste. Prices were fair, delivery time was normal. I like the fact they stay open till 4am, originally wanted to go to ihop, where I?m from it?s usually 24 hours, however it was... closed as was most places here. This placed saved our night.
