Well preserved old fashioned place serving traditional recipes. The mushrooms pastry is so delicate and delicious, so the cheese... and raisins danish. It?s hard to find good bakeries in Iowa, so this one is definitely a top 3 on my state list. Read more

I had a great time here during Sjevk Fest 2022. A small gathering with free pizza and beer. The baked goods are amazing but the... high prices seem to reflect a long-term struggle. Read more

Super friendly staff and really good pastry! Reasonably priced as well. The place is a historic gem. Highly recommend popping... in. We came in on a slower day, so we had plenty of options to choose from and we eventually decided on a poppy seed danish. Itwas only a little over $2. Super pleased with my visit. Highly recommend! The service was very friendly but the Kolaches I got were not good. They tasted like they had been out for a long time. Granted,... it was a Monday. Read more

Business that's been around for over 100 years. Items are baked fresh daily! Have to try the "Bohemian" hamburger (poppyseed... on a sweet roll)... it's awesome! Lot of history in this building. See the refurbished oven front on display. Has doors thatwere used to add wood and coal to fires for baking before gas was made available. May 2022. Read more

My Mother made kolaches when I was a kid. I was born in Cedar Rapids but now live in Fort Lauderdale. I visited Cedar Rapids to... see family and knew I wanted to go to Czech Village in search of Kolaches. My Aunt knew exactly where to go, Sykora. Wearrived and saw they were in the middle of a renovation. We were greeted and of course I knew exactly what I wanted a blueberryKolache. My Aunt got a raspberry coconut bar. I was transported back to Mom's kitchen. Mission accomplished. Sykora has morethan Kolaches, and it all looked delicious. You wont be disappointed. Read more

It?s never super busy when I?m here so it has a nice ambiance. Thisis the place to go for a great Czech bakery experience. A living legend of Cedar Rapids. Read more
