Quarter Barrel hosted our companies holiday party and it went great! They made it easy to order food for a large amount of... people and we?re flexible with our numbers as our RSVPs slowly trickled in. The staff and food are amazing! Every time I come here, it feels like a home away from home, and I know that I can bring my kids... and grandchild and know that we will be taken care!! The games are so much fun and takes me back to my childhood! Yeah, we hadto wait a little while for a table, but that just shows that they?re an amazing place that everyone want to go to. Waited for almost two hours to get our appetizer, which we were okay with because we understood the 2 large parties. What ended... up being a deal breaker for us was while sitting at the bar, we watched a cockroach walking around the cups they use to servebeer. We immediately called attention to it, and the bartender just brushed it off the on the ground and went back to talking tohis buddy at the bar. I closed our tab immediately and left shortly after. This was an excellent experience. Great decor (old school) with a ton of arcade games. Our server, Sean (not Shaun, nor Shawn!)... was fantastic. Helpful, knowledgeable of the food, and pleasant person. We had the pretzel bites (highly recommend) and thecheese dip with baguette. We had the Mario and Crab RanGoonies pizzas. Both were excellent. I met Shannon at the bar, and Itruly enjoyed the chat we had. This place is aces in my book! The above review was written two weeks ago when we came here withour granddaughter. There were maybe 25 - 30 people in the place. Last night we were there with our son, his wife, their twosons, and his wife's father. Seven total. The place was almost full, maybe 125 - 130 people. I'm thinking the service will beslow. I was wrong. Our server Jacob and the bartender Naomi did a fantastic job! I was seriously impressed with how they handledall the orders, both food and drinks, and yet the managed to keep a smile on their faces. Well done! Read more
Try to not order everything on the menu. I dare you. If you have to choose, the lumpia are to die for! The pizza is delicious,... and they do a great job of providing pizza options for people with dietary restrictions. Their house-made buffalo sauce isKILLER. You can?t go wrong here. We always have an amazing time at the Quarter Barrel! It?s one of the places I recommend for out-of-town visitors. Everything is... well done. Casual, fun atmosphere and the food is excellent ? some of the best in Cedar Rapids. They brew a variety of beer,from classic to very unique, so there is something for everyone. Read more
