Went to the Anvil for a Birthday meal and I greatly enjoyed going there. The building itself is old but incredibly well kept... homely in a pleasant way, cozy and very clean! The service was good and very patient especially considering I has to wait for myother company to arrive, no problems there! The food was excellent, from the shepherd's pie I got, to the duck wantons andeven the mozzarella sticks, all was fantastic to me. I loved it at the Anvil, give it a go if you're in the area you won't bedisappointed! Pictures are of the inside and outside of the building, the decor, the menu, and the food! Read more

Ordered takeout, we live <5 min away. They gave us the wrong soup….my wife said the pesto was not very flavorful which echos... our last visit there (used to be much better)…I got the Mac & Cheese which was supposed to be creamy but was just oily goopand also not flavorful. 2 stars because cheese bread is awesome and the blackened chicken is always good. Garlic mashed potatoeswere meh. I’ll stick to sandwiches and non-pasta entrees if I go back again. Read more

Lovely place, food was amazing. Would have got 5 stars, but our waitress was not the nicest or the best. Stuffed blackened... chicken breast. Stuffed with a raspberry cream cheese mixture and bacon wrapped with a burban berblonk sauce on top. I'm sure ispelled some words wrong lol Read more

Excellent food. Good service. Menu has good variety. Good prices. Generous serving sizes. Resturant is in an original... blacksmith shop. Authentic. My favorite is the chicken sandwich with hearth baked bread and bacon. Fries are delicious. Burgersare great. Ribs are meaty and tasty. I recommend a reservation. Not a big place and very popular. I think they are closed onTuesdays. Only minor disappointment was charged .50 for a little barbeque sauce. In summer seating outback by the river and awaterfall is quite lovely and relaxing. Cedarburg has a winery and shops a few yards away. Many more shops and theater in town. Read more

Fantastic ambiance and delicious plates. This place is fantastic and I’m excited to try more of their menu. The only hiccup... is that the gluten free lava cake wasn’t exactly all that tasty. But everything else was top notch! Read more

This may be my new favorite restaurant. I discovered this restaurant during the Cedarburg Winterfest and came back during the... week. The menu has tons of things I'm looking forward to trying, especially since they make their own bread for thesandwiches. However, I tried the special which was described as Mississippi Beef Wellington. It was two tender chunks of beeffried and covered with pickled veggies. It also came with fantastic red potatoes and mixed veggies. They also have quite thedrink menu. I tried the cranberry mule. Really refreshing and included fresh cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.
