The restaurant's utensils are unbelievably dirty. Out of the four sets of utensils on the table I was only able to find one fork... and knife that did not have grease all over it, on top of that I received a glass that had lipstick on it. I put absolutely nofaith in to the cleanliness of any of your silverware here which can lead to diseases. This place needs to be checked by thehealth department. I ordered the croquettas and they had onion in it which was not stated on the menu. I also had the PaellaValencia and was upset to find that I cannot serve myself and they forced me to allow them to plate my food even though I wastrying to split the food with someone else. Which means that they only gave one lemon for two plates and I had a swap of foodaround from my plate with my friend which was not as I wanted. The paella was very good but was completely missing the pork thatit supposedly had in it and all of the pieces of the chicken we're so over cooked they were inedible. Each person is given apart of a loaf of bread to eat. This restaurant tries to stay up class and makes all of the food and prepares it in front ofyou. I made a reservation to come here and thankfully I was able to get a seat, I'm not sure if you normally need reservationsbut at this time the place was rented out by other people and the wait for one party was 30 minutes for lunch. This place wasonly at about 60% capacity but was not seating anymore, they have a outdoor seating area too. After the horrible experienceswith the cleanliness of the utensils and plates I will never return. Read more
Excellent food at a good price. Decor was fitting and tasteful. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The only... downside was parking. You’d have to drive around and find street parking. The earlier you go, the higher the chance you’llhave finding a spot. There is other shops and restaurants in the area. And also it overlooks the beautiful lake. Once you enter the restaurant, you are embraced with the culture. First thing you would see is the convenience/gift shop that... are filled with unique items. We got a table instantly. I ordered the most popular item on the menu - Columbia's Original 1905Salas and it tasted great. The only part is that it was a tap too salty. The bread was amazing and super fresh. The waitress wehad was nice but she gave us the vibe that she did not wanted to be there and we felt rushed to finish our meals. Read more
I have been here numerous times and have ordered different items on the menu. Every visit and every meal has been awesome. You... are given your very own personal portion of Cuban bread with a side of butter before your meal, which is also excellent. Theatmosphere is charming, relaxed, and relatively quiet. You could dine there wearing shorts and flip flops or a dress or suit.Both would fit in! The food is predominantly Cuban, I think, with some Columbian mixed in. The 1805 salad is exceptional! The dressing is made table side. All meals are served with a side of Cuban bread that is... wonderful. Beautiful interior and decor. Great service, the atmosphere is nice, and the food is overall really good. Some items mind blowing, others (like the beans and... rice) not as flavorful or mindblowing. The salad they are famous for is actually really good and yes, you should order it. Theyalso have small sizes of it! I got mine with shrimp instead if ham. Great for a large gathering too. The 1905 salad is as good as the hype. The Chicken Salteado is savory Cuban comfort food. My father enjoyed his snapper, and... although he doesn't care for rice normally, he ate it with this dish before he even realized! I have been here a few times. Good solid food and staff is always attentive. The restaurant has a couple of indoor sections as... well as outdoor dining. The main section is large and bright while there is a smaller section near the bar area that is moreintimate. Read more
