Can\'t say enough about Build a Brew BBQ. Quiet (on Table Rock golf course), friendly (one of the owners served us and checked... how we were doing, great BBQ (my wife had chicken quarters) and steak (what I had). The servings were large, the steak was agreat hand picked cut, cooked to order, sides were awesome (if you like broccoli salad and hand cut fries, order them!!) and thebeer was ice cold. Also, I didn\'t taste the chicken but it looked tender and juicy. Definitely do yourself a favor and checkthem out. They\'re only open 2 more weekends due to the end of golf season, buck they\'ll be back in 2023. They were out ofbrisket by six and that\'s what I really wanted, so now I have to back, lol. Pictured is my 8oz New York strip, but was closerto 10oz. 15$ gets you the steak, texas toast, and two sides. Great Price!! Read more

As I entered Centerburg, on my way to Smithhisler, I saw a BBQ banner on the side of the road. I was sure to make a mental note... because I\'m always looking for great BBQ.\n\nI finished stocking up at Smithhisler Meats and felt the hunger set in. I decidedit was time to eat, so I busted out my cell and punched in the words \"Centerburg\" and \"BBQ\". Google found it pretty quickly.A quick skim of reviews and I knew I had to see for myself. GPS was set and awaaaay we go!\n\nIt\'s just a little off the mainroad, 36, and appears to be at the back of a small golf course. Main parking to the right and 3 carryout spots upfront to theleft. As I entered the property, I saw a father and son carrying bags in each hand with enough BBQ to feed a small army.Clearly, they are fans! Can\'t wait!\n\nThe family running the place was very nice and helpful. The inside is very rustic andspacious. Everything was clean and the menus were clear and easy to read. The prices are more than reasonable and the portionsare exactly what you want from a BBQ joint. Also, they have a wide selection of very affordable beers and a nice covered patioto enjoy them on.\n\nI got the Brisket Meal with Green Beans and Mac for $12.50 and an additional side of Baked Beans for $2.50.The food traveled back to Columbus and was still just as good as I had hoped.\n\nThe brisket was very tender and pulled apartwith ease. I had cuts from various parts of the brisket, with the right amount of fat for each respective cut.\nThe mac n cheesewas an excellent consistency. I suspect they may use the \"house made cheese sauce\" that they have listed on the menu.\nThegreen beans were tender and very flavorful.\nThe baked beans had diced onion and bell pepper with a sweet flavor. The butteryTexas Toast was soft by the time I got home, but I threw it in thr toaster oven and was perfect.\n\nI will definitely be back! Read more

Awesome service, fantastic food, and greatest value in town. Everything tasted amazing and the amount of care regarding quality... is astounding. Super nice place in Centerburg for a date night or family meal. Quite the local competitor, I\'d definitelychoose Build a Brew over C*ty Barbeque! Read more

This is a good BBQ place...\n\nI liked the sampler platter because it gave good exposure to all that they serve. It is a lot of... food. I think there is room for improvement and refinement in their food but it was a good experience and the food was good. Itis worth a visit... Read more

The food is great! We tried the brisket (like butter) and chicken (so good) and cole slaw (legit) and baked beans (no joke) and... broccoli salad (my favorite) and side salad (they didn\'t skimp). I highly recommend checking it out. Read more

Been waiting for this place to open for awhile. Today was the day. Showed up and went inside. Inside is decorated like a... backyard. Come to find out the picnic tables were made by someone locally. There is a lot of cute signage on the inside of thebusiness, making it a comfortable setting. I met with Caleb the owner and Reba the General Manager and Cindy who was takingorders and running the register. This is a Family run business, with plenty of members. They also have an outdoor patio arewith plenty of tables. On to the food because it definitely about the food. I ordered the Brisket, Pulled pork, mac and cheese, chipotle beans, coleslaw and Texas Toast. The Brisket and Pulled Pork were smoked with walnut wood. Had a nice mild flavor tothem, both were super moist. The mac and cheese looked like an old fashioned mac and cheese with the small elbow macaroni butthe surprise was they used a Gruyere cheese in it, super smooth and delicious tasting. On to the surprise of all the dishes, chipotle beans. I was half expecting some sort of baked beans from this, NOT!!! It was a dish made with chipotle beans, chipotlepeppers, bbq sauce, garlic and a number of other secret ingredients. This definitely revved up my taste buds, Yummy!!! Thecoleslaw was made with ALL FRESH ingredients, nothing bagged here, all of it was hand chopped fresh vegetables. The dressing wasa light homemade vinegar based dressing, that was off the chart. The final thing was Texas Toast, nice n thick with an off thechart butter solution on it. OMG, I could have sat there all day eating just that. To say it mildly I was surprised at the highlevel of BBQ being put out by them. They definitely took the time to come up with a great menu of outstanding dishes for theircustomers. Welcome to the next hottest BBQ Restaurant. Don\'t miss out on this opportunity. They are currently open 1100-0800 PMFriday-Sunday.. Read more
