We only ordered food to go, and we're not disappointed; what we got was excellent. They had a huge counter filled with all... different kinds of deserts. Also the place was packed with what seems to be Turkish nationals, which says a lot about arestaurant! We will definitely go back to dine in! Update 8/12/2022. We come here often now to dine in. Starter sampler platter: divine. The mains were all very good. Only bad thing is we were too full for desert - they looked... amazing. Note: two of the six in our group found the air temperature a little warm. I found it to be fine. We?ll be back soon! Read more
I had the opportunity to have cookies, rice pudding and "tres leches cake" just amazing. Wonderful job with the cake, not just... the presentation but the taste it was incredible. I?ve been to many Turkish restaurants on Long Island and Istanbul Cafe is by far the best I?ve ever eaten. My wife is Turkish... and said the same thing, the food is fresh and authentic, not over spiced, but everything has so much flavor! There is also abakery attached to the restaurant that has the most amazing desserts as well as Turkish breakfast cookies and Borek. They havetucked away in the back small Turkish grocery items such as coffee, jams and other Turkish pre-packaged foods, trust me on thisand give them a try, you won?t be disappointed, super fast service too. Best Turkish restaurant on Long Island! The food is delicious and fresh. The staff is very friendly. There?s a restaurant and... bakery, they make Turkish delights too which is a big plus for me and authentic Turkish coffee. Brings memories to Turkey forsure, including how friendly the people are. One time I ordered over the phone and the food wasn?t ready when I got there so Isat and ordered a coffee (I was in no rush). They didn?t want to charge for the coffee. Highly recommended Read more
Ozlem was an amazing waitress! She was the only one there and she took care of everything and everyone at dinner time! The food... was amazing! We had the Adana kebab lamb chops and a lamb shank and all were cooked amazing! We also had the beef liver the coldappetizer platter and they were delicious also! Read more
