I finally got a chance to stop by here, and I was NOT disappointed in the slightest. The food was on point. I love fried okra... and pulled pork. The okra was hot and well seasoned. Just like I like it. The pulled pork was very tasty. I will just make sureto get extra of the sweet Carolina sauce next time. I wanted to try the mustard based also, but I found I don't like it as muchas I did as a teen. That's been a long time ago now. Apparently my tastes have changed. The Mac and cheese was really goodtoo. And BONUS, they had Cherry Coke. How can a place go wrong with Cherry Coke. I will definitely be back again. The place wasclean, the staff was friendly, and the food was amazing. Read more

What a great find!!! We were passing through Central and decided to try Big Cliff?s and we were not disappointed. The... owner/chef was very friendly and the service was excellent. The BBQ and the Mushroom Swiss burger was fantastic and thehomemade side dishes were perfect. Make sure you try the Cajun collards and the sweet potato crunch. We only wish we had roomto try his other dishes!!! We will definitely be back! Read more

4 star for now, will give a second visit to potentially raise later. They were very busy and Kitchen was behind when I visited.... Food was outstanding, prices were on the low end for good bar-b-que... and selection was reasonable. Location leaves a bit tobe desired, but it is immaterial once you are inside (Shares space with the local gas station). Read more

I've known JC for about 13 years now. One thing I have learned is that he likes food. When he told me a couple of years ago that... he was getting into BBQ, I knew I had to try it! Today was the first chance that I got to go and try it out. It was a drive forme, but it was well worth it. You walk in and seat yourself. The staff was friendly although running around like they werefrazzled. The sweet tea was sweet! Like so sweet that if you ran out of syrup you could pour the tea over your pancakes. Hey,I'm not complaining because it was pretty good. My wife and I ordered the queso fries. They came loaded with queso cheese, sweet BBQ sauce, chopped bell peppers and tomatoes, and cilantro (I believe). However, don't order them if you are wanting tofinish the whole entree (there were a lot in there. My wife and I shared and I was not able to finish my meal - and I am apretty big person)! The menu offered your typical spread of BBQ - both pork and chicken. And they even offered a brisket. mywife and I both got the lunch special which was a 1/2 lb of pork BBQ, a side and a sweet tea for under $10. I got the homemadeMac and cheese and the slaw (which was pretty good. It was mayonnaise based instead of vinegar based so it lacked thattanginess. But, I thoroughly enjoyed it). My wife got the regular collards and the fried okra, which she raved about. I hateokra, but I found myself enjoying the okra from Big Cliff's BBQ. On the downside, they do run out of stuff quickly. Not acomplaint, just a FYI for you to get in early. This place is amazing and I will be back. I will even make a special trip herejust to support my friend and brother from another mother. Read more

It has that " hole in the wall" taste inside a stylish and modern restaurant. This is casual eating at its finest! Come on in... and seat yourself to one out of two dining rooms. This is a family friendly, kid friendly ( highchairs included) atmosphere. Myhusband and I got us some good ol sweet teas and the house lunch special. The lunch special runs from 12-2pm. You get 1/2 poundof bbq, a bun, and two sides of your choosing. While it was our first time trying them out, we ordered the Queso Fries. What aninteresting Tex Mex combination topped with fresh corn and diced green bell peppers. We really enjoyed the entireexperience. They also take orders online for your convenience. Contactless pay is at the register as well. I must say the meat'squality is great. I highly highly highly enjoyed the okra! It was PERFECTLY BATTERED to perfection and lightly salted.Theregular collards we're very clean and flavorful. If youre looking for your next BBQ diner to add to your food resume, Big CliffsBBQ should absolutely be next on your list! I know we will be back! Read more

First visit to Big Cliff's. I'll return to dine here again and may change rating to 5 Star. It was 5:30 on Saturday. They were... out of Beef Brisket, Cole Slaw, and Mac & Cheese (I'm not complaining, simply stating facts). Great value for the price.Waitress was extremely busy, very friendly, and we had very good service. I had an excellent dinner of 4 moist, smoky pork ribs, french fries, BBQ beans, and a dinner roll--all for $17.00. Great meal for the price. The ribs were very good or better. We alsohad pulled pork, half of which was dry. The other half was moist and excellent. Serving size was ample. The pulled pork was$13.00. Good BBQ must be accompanied by good sauce, and I loved all three sauces available. Big Cliff's"standard" sauce is asweet, slightly smoky sauce with a nice little bit of zest. The second sauce, called Blue Flame (I think), was made withblueberries (waitress said), though I couldn't detect a berry taste, it was a very good sauce. The "hot" BBQ sauce had a littleheat and was the smokiest. I liked it very much. Big Cliff's French fries are something to talk about. They arrived hot andappeared to be fresh cut, perfectly cooked with crispy surface, moist and hot inside. They are similar to, but larger than, thegreat fresh cut fries made famous by In-N-Out Burger. BBQ beans were very good or better. No meat in my serving, and they werekind of saucy, but the taste was on point. Collard greens were perfect. Nicely seasoned, had meat, and were not overcooked. Thedinner roll should be done away with--dry, and what's the point? Bread is so easy to make into a plus, and it can be donequickly and cheaply. BBQ places that make the bread a part of the meal you enjoy are memorable. Restrooms were clean. The frontdoor around the doorknob/handle was dirty. How is stuff like this overlooked? This being said, I would definitely return again.I think this is probably a 5 Star establishment on most nights. Read more

The food is awesome! In fact my boyfriend can?t stop going there since they opened. The portion sizes are just right, I almost... always have leftovers to take home. This time I got the pork tacos and they were mouth watering and very tasty. I was tooexcited and hungry that I almost forgot to take a picture before we started eating... ha! I also got the homemade bananapudding. One recommendation is that you get there early before they run out of items on their menu which tends to happen often. Read more

What a great spot for barbecue, we had the sampler that was for a party of 4 and it came could have easily fed a family of 6!!... The cook/owner was extremely friendly, we had no issues with service as our waitress was very attentive. We sampled the wings, pulled chicken, ribs, brisket with sides of Mac and cheese, slaw and green beans? all were exceptional. If we weren?t on vacationand passing through I would absolutely come back to try everything on the menu, much respect for this restaurant opening duringa pandemic, best of luck! Read more
