I LOVED this place. Katsu is a really hard dish to get right and you can tell how much effort went into getting everything... perfect. The owners were incredibly nice and sweet, and we’re so glad that we drove all the way up from Maryland. Read more

What a delight. We were out for a celebration and our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs, but everything we ordered... came out fast and hot, full of flavor and with good portions. Miso soup and salad showed up without asking, plus cups of tea,and then pretty quickly we were rushing through a tasty appetizer to dig in to our main courses. Lots of left overs, and whenthe check came it was completely reasonable, considering the splurge. Service was friendly and steady. Already thinking aboutwhich dishes we didn\'t try. Go check it out! I came here on a pretty hot day with a couple of friends - I was craving some cold, refreshing soba noodles and I saw that... Kazone had some on their menu. I had also not been here before so I wanted to try Kazone out and experience it. My friends and Iordered 4 items on the menu and here are my opinions of them below:\n\nSoba Noodles - Cold, refreshing, tasty and filled mycraving for cold noodles on a hot, near-summer day. It came with some assorted veggies that complemented the dishnicely.\n\nCheese Katsu - Crunchy, filled with warm Mozarrella Cheese - overall very enjoyable. Came with 2 sauces on the sideas well as rice and and salad.\n\nChashu Donniri - Probably the most filling of the dishes we ordered, it had chashu (porkseasoned in soy sauce/sugar mix) with a layer of eggs and rice.\n\nUnagi Donburi - Grilled eel with unagi sauce, with a layer ofeggs, over rice. I love eel so I definitely try to order it every chance I get. We received several pieces of very tender eelthat were pretty tasty.\n\nOverall, I enjoyed the food - it was tasty - and the wait staff was attentive. It might be because ofinflation, but the items on the menu were all pretty expensive - and the portions somewhat conservative. The cheese katsu onlyhad 4 pieces, which isn\'t too filling for one dish, and hard to justify at the given price point. Similarly, the other disheswere a bit pricy for the given portion size, other than the Chashu Donniri. Also, I found it weird that the water comes outhalfway filled. Read more

This is the only place in the DC Virginia area that does proper and authentic cheese donkatsu to perfection. The only similar... level place we have found is in Korea and Japan. Also the owners and staff are always friendly. We travel almost an hour todine here. A relatively new place that will no doubt continue to be successful. Read more

Do you like Korean/Japanese food? If so, you came to the right spot! Kazone\'s atmosphere is trendy and heartwarmingly... welcoming. I stopped by recently to grab some drinks and food. They welcomed me, and the staff was super friendly. I orderedhappy hour drinks and corn cheese with chicken katsu, but both were terrific. The corn cheese had right about to seasoning, andcheese was melting every bite. The chicken katsu was super tender and had great texture and the sauce complimented the dish. Ialso got to meet the restaurant owner, who asked for my feedback. Let\'s just say I will be returning very soon for happy hourand delicious food. Read more

Amazing!!!! One of the best restaurants in the area, hands down. Katsu is a very difficult dish as everything has to be done... perfectly. The meat needs to be fresh and cut not too think or too thick. Panko must be fresh. Cabbage needs to be shreddedright before serving. And much more. Kazone nailed all areas. Everything was spot on perfect, including the very friendly andattentive staff. You’ll feel like you have been invited over to a good friend’s house for home cooked dinner. If you likehomemade katsu, go for it. I promise you will not be disappointed….\n\nP.S., you can tell how seriously a cook takes theirfood by their rice. Again spot on. The rice was amazingly fresh and super delicious, plus came with just the right of furikakesprinkled on top. Read more
