Glad to find Taiwanese hot pot restaurant in Cerritos. Soups were tasty. Services were also outstanding. Will come again.

Last night (10-17-2022), we took my mom to this restaurant to try out. It wasn't as busy as it was my first time. I noticed a... couple new people and the owners were there to train the new staff. Service was a lot better and more attentive than before.It's a good sign for a change. Cups of water was served after being seated. Prompt slushy drink was served. Our food was servedpromptly thereafter. My aunts ordered the Thai Style and Milky Cheese, my mom ordered the Popcorn Chicken and I ordered theSukiyaki. I must say that the Sukiyaki is a sweet soup probably because of the crab and it comes with udon in it. It was tasty.Everyone enjoyed their orders and the fire experience of their soups. By check-out time, we were given their promo discount, buy3 soups and get 1 soup free. It's a good deal for groups of 4 or more people. We were also given a sample dessert of their honeyjello at the end. It was a nice gesture. My family will come again soon. ---- First time (10-5-2022) going to this restaurant.The male server deterred us from ordering an appetizer because the soup itself is a lot of food. I understood what he meant, buthe didn't know that I was ordering for my mom. I ordered the taro milk tea, which didn't come first as I had expected. Grantedthe restaurant was busy at the time upon arrival. We didn't get any cups of water while waiting for our food like the othercustomers. I received the soup first and maybe 10 minutes after, I received the milk tea with no apology for the delay. Iordered the pumpkin pot soup. It was good. I wished it had more pumpkin in it. Their pictures of the soups can be deceiving.Each soup comes in their own pot. Ignore the size options from their menu. The soup was boiling hot which is an experience initself. "Pot on Fire" is one of the Best hotpot in town. I like their individual hot pot a lot, it's boiling hot. We were visiting and had planned to go to another restaurant but they were busy so we came to Pot on Fire instead. And we are so... glad we did. The food was SO GOOD!!! Perfect portion size. The food was flavorful. We also got fantastic service from Pauline!!Shoutout to Pauline!!!! And their general manager Jay was great in ensuring our dinner experience is up to par. I ordered through Doordash. This review is not about the restaurant or its food, but about the delivery driver named Manuel. He... left the food on the floor at my door even though I asked for "hand it to me." I realised why he did that. The soup brothspilled all over the popcorn chicken making it soggy. Both bags had food spilled inside AND OUTSIDE! EVEN THE RECEIPT OUTSIDETHE BAG WAS SOILED WITH FOOD. I cannot help but think that this driver intentionally mishandled the food as it had to take someeffort to spill out of well covered plastic containers. The food looks good but I have not eaten any of it. I'm not sure whatelse Manuel may have done to the food. I have taken pictures and video. This is beyond outrageous! I have not called therestaurant as they are closed and will reopen later for dinner. I have been ordering from Doordash for more than a year and Iknow the difference between food spilling by accident (which I understand) and food being mishandled deliberately by drivers. Great food and quick service. Free black or green tea was given with your lunch purchase! You order through QR code menu, but... it won't let you pay through the QR website, that was a little confusing. Wow...this spot is straight fire on all levels! Flavor, spice, customer service, portions...everything! I love the variety and... selection of their menu, all styles of soups ranging from Taiwanese to Thai to Japanese. All the ingredients are hefty and notskimpy like Boiling Point. They actually give you generous portions! Everything was so flavorful, I haven't enjoyed soup likethat in a while. Now for the kicker.... their milk teas and green teas are the freaking best! There are 2 milk tea places nextdoor to them and this place smashes them both. I can't believe I slept on this spot for months. Its definitely my go to for soupfrom now on! Read more
