Great find for a nice dinner downtown. I wanted to take my sister somewhere nice when I was in town visiting her. Made a... reservation here and we sat at a table outside. We started with the Arancini Di Risotto and Cuori di Lattuga deli Ces. Both werevery good, but I especially loved the rice balls. My main was the Spaghetti Portofino, which was full of flavor and that pastawas perfect. Thought the Polo Alla Parmiggiana was very too good, as I tried some of my sisters dish. We ended our dinner withthe Bombolone as dessert. Saw all the photos on Yelp and had to give it a try too. Server was friendly, but didn?t check backvery often. Maybe because he was waiting on too many tables? As much as I love a nice dinning experience, I?ll just never getused to being charged for iced tea refills. I guess i understand being charged for the limonata, but iced tea is definitely ano-no. I became less of a fan when I saw that. Parking in the area is not great. My visit to Nando Milano was a very pleasant surprise. Tucked away in the heart of downtown Champaign, this restaurant is... nestled in the perfect location for an evening stroll, live music or other festivities surrounding the area. The restaurantmanager, G, was an amazing host who assured every aspect of the experience was enjoyable. Staff like Giuseppe, Jackson and Owenwere super attentive and you could see the effectiveness of their team-oriented approach to offering a stellar diningexperience. I was served by the bartender with mermaid colored hair (can't recall her name) but she was super helpful in makingdrink selections, all of which used fresh ingredients making them a cut above the rest. She also made suggestions to assure Ididn't miss out on Nando's tasty dessert options, like the Panna Cotta Ai Frutti Di Bosco, a tasty and refreshing custardtreat. Fresh bread and olive oil were a perfect starter option, preparing the palette for the succulent flavors of AragostaImperiale, a generous portion of Maine lobster, presented resting on a bed of spaghetti. This paired perfectly with Nando'sAragosta white wine for an exceptional culinary experience. Not pictured, but certainly not to be counted out is Nando'sGelato. My personal favorite is the passion fruit. Whether a night out with family and friends - they have a full dining roomand furnished outdoor patio, a solo dinner at the bar like me or a simple visit to quench your desire for an experience fit fora King/Queen, Nando Milano's does an excellent job of bringing a taste of Italy to the heart of Champaign. Our second stop while visiting Champaign IL was @nandomilanotrat This Italian restaurant is conveniently located near array of... bars and offers indoor dinning and a large outdoor seating area. Chef?s specials rotate often and include some amazing foodchoices. The wine menu is large enough to accompany any of the dish on the menu. The selection of appetizer did not disappointus. This place has a lovely quaint rustic ambience. Perfect for date nights and anniversary. The food was delicious, I absolutely... loved the cocktails. I had the Malfitano and French Sevilla Five, both were really good. The meatballs were amazing ! It was our Anniversary and Nando Milano didn't disappoint in the least bit. From their courtesy and well dressed staff. From... their selection of wines and beverages we were amazed with our experience. Our servor did a phenomenal job on taking us on ajourney of anticipation of flavors and delights in his description of the chef specials offered on the day. Let me tell youNando Chefs did not disappoint. Everything we ate from our appetizer(Arancini di Riso), our salad(Spinaci e Pere del Giardino)and finally our Braised Lamb Shank main course selections were an absolutely mouth watering delight.
