Brought me back to Oahu with the tuna bowl and spam musubi. Ahi tasted fresh with great color and firmness. Presentation was... superb. Service was super friendly and got complimentary miso soup; who doesn't love free food! 4 out of 5 as over twenty bucksfor one person may be out of people's price range for lunch. I was there before and my poke bowl was fine. However, last time I tried to order the Kailua pork bowl and not only did it take... forever, but I ended up with the pork covered in loco Moco sauce with an egg on top. Hands down the best poke you can get in Champaign. The ahi tuna cubes here are bigger than other poke places and tastes pretty... fresh as well. Their rice is the best I've had in Champaign too haha. I'm not sure if the tuna was marinated or just topped withsome sauce, I would believe it is marinated, but if they used a darker soy sauce and rice vinegar to marinade for even longer,it would make this taste even more amazing. I?ll give 2 for now and hopefully I?ll update to higher when I try the poke. I really wanted this to be a good review. I love... Hawaiian barbecue from living in San Francisco and there is nothing like that here, there are so many places there that are holein the walls but the food is absolutely delicious. This place isn?t even close, even without comparing it to the other places,the food is just bad. I ordered once when they first opened, and I gave her another shot tonight because it had been a while.The short ribs, once again, taste almost rancid, they are not edible. Maybe people in the area I don?t know, but this is nothow Hawaiian take out macaroni salad should taste, this is not how anything should taste. Hawaiian macaroni salad is one of thebest fast food sides you could ever ask for, definitely put it on your to eat list whenever you travel, just not here. Twostars because at least the loco mocha was edible. I really hope that one day they get new cooks or new management or something, I would really love some decent Hawaiian take out in the area. Poke Shack is very good! I had the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl for lunch. The chicken had light teriyaki flavor and no bad pieces on a... large bed of white rice. Decent portions for a fair price. You can choose your own dipping sauces. They have Apple pay. Shortwait for food. You can dine in but only a few window seats. Most people get take out. The restaurant can be hard to find.Located near the highway and hotel. Not a ton of parking but at least its free. They do not have a drive thru. I can't wait totry other menu options! Read more
Absolutely love Poke Shack! The foods are so fresh and well prepared. I?m so glad we have this hidden gem in the C-U area. The... price is reasonable, and the portion is fulfilling. Would love to come back for their curry and bowls. Read more
It?s amazingly good. I got the Big Kahuna Bowl and added an extra scoop of salmon.
It was real good. Your Hawaiian mac salad was the best. I often pass judgement based on how good the mac salad is. The rice was... okay, tasted like it had been microwaved and I definitely heard someone in the back using one. I got teriyaki chicken. That wasreal good too. Just like my mom would have made. But the mac salad was the best. I like that you added potatoes to it. Read more
