This place is soooo good and it?s hard for restaurant food to impress me as I cook good food at home. I will say only downside... is parking is hard but it?s downtown so that expected. It is also hard to get in if you don?t have a reservation so make sureyou have one. Our server was also hilarious! Great loud atmosphere. Apparently the chicken is the go to. Great seasoning and while I saw some crispy stuff coming out of... the kitchen our sandwich left some crunch to be desired. That said....not photographed is the SMASH burger. Dear Lord, it'sFANTASTIC. One of the best I've ever had and I've eaten a lot of burgers. Run....I said RUN to try this burger. Read more
Went here with family for lunch. Service was fast and on point. Bourbon slush was amazing and perfect grown up drink to go with... the Nashville hot entree. Nashville hot entree: dark chicken that was large portion size, extra crispy and had amount of sauceto cover chicken but not drown it. Potato wedges were a large portion and well seasoned. I've been craving some waffles and chicken. Watson's absolutely delivered! I went with the white meat tenders and added a bit of... the hot chicken spice blend on after the syrup. All of it was perfect. The Belgian waffle was fluffy and delicious, the chickenwas juicy with a very satisfying crunch. Loved every bite! Read more
Of all the times I?ve been to Watson?s, this was the first time I gave their gumbo and their chicken & waffles a shot. Can?t lie... - I?ll probably never order anything different than this from there ever again. Some options I?ve had here before, I wasn?t afan of. But I?m not one to cancel a restaurant just because I didn?t like one or two things on the menu. Great atmosphere andservice! Read more
Second time dining in and I had the same thing both time. Great staff and great music selections. I had the gumbo which was... tasty..could have been alot hotter..was only warm. Nothing I would complain about. My son had the chicken and waffle..orChelsea's shameless plea. He thought the chicken was over cooked but I think the grease was maybe old due to the color of thechicken.. Overall a great place and we will be back! Read more
Had a wonderful experience! Our server, Brooke, was very attentive and patient with us as this was our first experience. We... ordered the gravy fries as an appetizer and they were delicious! My daughter had the spit roasted chicken which she enjoyed andI had the firecracker shrimp. A bit spicy, which I like, and nice and crispy. Will definitely be returning. Read more
Amazing place! Very cool vibe, decor and music. But the staff, Sam specifically, is incredible, kind, engaging and very... knowledgeable of all things menu related and especially all things spirits related ???????? Sam gave my wife and I acomplimentary flight of Frozen slushie drinks, each with a nice mix of booze and flavor's. The apple slush mixed with rum andtopped with an apple donut was amazing! We had chicken tenders and the Nashville hot sandwich with the Carolina Gold sauce, bestI've ever had. I had an Old Fashioned with a new rye whiskey that I liked so much I bought a bottle there, yes they sell selectspirits and very fair prices by the bottle.
